Lynx Golf Ambassador Nick Dougherty Brings Popular Tee Time Tips Program to Golf Channel

Former European Tour Winner and Current Sky Sports On-Air Personality Shares Expertise in Unique Instructional Show

(Weybridge, Surrey, UK) – Lynx Golf – the iconic equipment brand trusted by multiple major championship winners over its storied history – announces brand ambassador Nick Dougherty’s popular Sky Sports program, “Tee Time Tips,” will air throughout the summer on Golf Channel.

Having debuted on the network in June with additional shows airing in July and August, ‘Nick Dougherty’s Tee Time Tips’ features Dougherty sharing expert advice on a variety of topics to help all golfers improve.  A three-time winner on the European Tour, and former top 50 player in the world, Dougherty more recently gained a large and loyal following as a lead broadcaster for Sky Sports Golf and thanks to his hugely popular Instagram page where he shares short, engaging tips. ‘Nick Dougherty’s Tee Time Tips’ TV show originally debuted on Sky Sports in 2018. Dougherty has a multi-year endorsement deal with Lynx Golf, wherein the former professional plays the brand’s clubs and prominently features them in public appearances.

Lynx Golf has a storied past as one of the industry’s greatest equipment innovators, including being trusted by the 1992 Masters and 1994 U.S. Open Champions. In recent years, the iconic brand has enjoyed a completely rejuvenated global presence, with sales throughout the UK and Europe soaring and expansion underway in the United States.

“The vision for ‘Tee Time Tips’ was built around my ambition of helping to make peoples Golf game a little less complicated and a lot more fun. I had always wanted to create an academy but realized I could have a bigger reach and impact by creating a short form digital content series across Instagram. The success of the digital content allowed me to extend the format for linear TV,” said Dougherty. “A critical element of playing better golf is finding the right equipment and what I love about Lynx Golf is that they not only make incredible clubs, but aren’t afraid to step outside the box and create truly innovative ideas.”

Currently, Nick uses the following Lynx Golf equipment:
- Driver - Black Cat 8.5
- Hybrid - Black Cat 3h
- Driving Iron – Stinger, 12.5
- Irons - Tour Blade 3-PW
- Wedges - Prowler Gun 52, 60

Since 2013, under the leadership of Lynx Golf CFO, Stephanie Zinser and her husband and CEO, Steve Elford, Lynx has recorded double-digit annual sales increases each year. Earlier this year, “The Cat” made waves at the PGA Merchandise show with the unveiling of their revolutionary Prowler VT Switch-Face Driver. The first of its kind, this groundbreaking technology offers golfers true loft adjustment. It was roundly praised by Golf Digest, GOLF, LINKS Magazine and others following its debut at the annual trade show in Orlando, FL.

“We have built a tremendous amount of momentum overseas during the better part of the last decade,” said Zinser. “This summer we are continuing this trend with a return to the United States and we could not think of a stronger ambassador than Nick. His influence in the game is tremendous and aligns beautifully with our vision.”

Founded in the 1970’s by John Riley Sr. and Carl Ross, Lynx Golf quickly established a large and loyal following among the game’s best players. Lynx’s renowned product lines include everything from TOUR-caliber clubs, such as the Prowler VT irons, to products geared for mid-to-high handicappers. At the professional level, the brand continues to draw talent beyond Dougherty, as its ambassadors include the legendary Dame Laura Davies who as recently as last year won two Major Ladies’ Senior titles (the Senior LPGA Championships at French Lick, and the Inaugural US Senior Women’s Open), Lydia Hall, Becky Brewerton and Trish Johnson.
