That’s what the Traveling Golfer television show did … and the thoughts took it directly to Jack Frost National GC and the Boulder View Tavern.
These two popular Pocono Mountain properties are the focus of the July episode of the award-winning Traveling Golfer television show.
It has been a few years since a portion of one of the Traveling Golfer episodes focused on Jack Frost National GC. Since that time … the course has gotten better, amenities have been added and the picturesque Boulder View Tavern has come under the same hospitality-centric management that made the golf course one of the most popular stops in Pennsylvania’s mountain region.
The newest golf course in Eastern Pennsylvania, Jack Frost National opened to rave reviews in 2007. Since then, under the stewardship of Billy Casper Golf Management, the course has matured into a must stop … and a perfect example of sustainable mountain golf.
“Watching this golf course grow gracefully has been really exciting,” remarks Keith Devos, general manager. “We have cultivated a loyal core of repeat customers who look forward to each visit. With the addition of the beautiful, waterfront Boulder View Tavern, we now offer an excellent experience on the golf course and after golf.”
In addition to golf, there are the connections to the ski world. Jack Frost National GC is directly across the street from the extremely popular Jack Frost Ski Area. Boulder View Tavern, as the name reflects, sits across the lake from Big Boulder Ski Area.
“Both of these properties sit in an area that has been one of my favorites for many years,” says Tony Leodora, host of the Traveling Golfer television show. “I spent many winters on the slopes and now enjoy summers on the golf course and nearby Big Boulder Lake. It’s the perfect combination of quality golf and quality lifestyle.”
Leodora will take viewers on a scenic tour of Jack Frost National GC, Big Boulder Lake and the Boulder View Tavern. This show provides two varied looks at the area – portraying the bright green of late spring and lush colors of mid-summer.
The July episode runs throughout the month on the Traveling Golfer network of websites ... including The Golf Director Network (see full list of sites on travelinggolfervideo.com). It also will air a number of times in the Month of July on “Rivertalk” on HTC-4 in Myrtle Beach. The Traveling Golfer also airs as a scheduled weekly feature show on NBC Sports and NBC Sports + throughout four markets in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. NBC Sports airings are 10:30 a.m. Sundays, 11 p.m. on Tuesdays and 11 a.m. Thursdays. NBC Sports + airs the show at 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays. And, now, the show also airs nationally on the new Fun Roads Network.
As part of every Traveling Golfer show there is the additional feature, "Tech Talk", hosted by Tour Edge Golf experts, such as President Dave Glod. With years of experience as a club maker, Glod presents an inside look at the research and development of high-quality golf equipment.
Responding to golfers' never-ending demands to learn more about interesting golf courses and golf resorts across the country and around the world, well-traveled host Tony Leodora created the Traveling Golfer so he could take viewers on video trips to some of the most exciting golf locations. The show added an Outstanding Achievement Award in the prestigious International Network of Golf Awards, presented at the PGA Merchandise Show in January of 2019. The latest award came on the heels of an unprecedented three straight years as the No. 1 Golf Television Show in America.
The Traveling Golfer is a series of monthly shows hosted by Leodora, who has 18 years of experience in televised golf. The featured destination stays on the website for one month, before being replaced by a new show. Alternate shows also air in a two-month rotation. All old shows are archived for continued viewing on the YouTube Network and on the home website, www.travelinggolfervideo.com.
