Inaugural Lighthouse Invitational at the Sea Pines Resort Coming in September

New team event for amateur golfers is nearing sell-out 

(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.) – The field for the inaugural Lighthouse Invitational at The Sea Pines Resort – a two-person, team competition for men and women amateurs, Sept. 12-15, 2019—is filling quickly.

Open to all amateur golfers, regardless of handicap, the tournament will be played on Hilton Head Island’s top three ranked courses, all part of The Sea Pines Resort:  Heron Point by Pete Dye, Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III, and historic Harbour Town Golf Links, home of the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing and famous for the island’s landmark Harbour Town Lighthouse.

The Lighthouse Invitational features one round over each course, plus exclusive resort privileges and amenities. Competitors in the Lighthouse Invitational also will enjoy:
- Opening night reception and dinner in the Heritage Room at the Harbour Town Clubhouse
- Putting contest at the Harbour Town Golf Links’ putting green
- Daily breakfast and box lunches
- Unlimited range privileges with available practice rounds
- Tee gift package valued at more than $500
- Awards ceremony with vacation prizes to resort destinations

Tournament registration options include:
- Single golfer—$1,299
- Single golfer with non-golfing partner—$1,849
- Two golfers—$2,598

Tournament participants, who are required to stay in the resort, receive a preferred rate of $279 per night for lodging, with a choice of The Inn & Club at Harbour Town or a two-bedroom deluxe villa in Harbour Town.

U.S. Foods and Coca Cola are partnering with The Sea Pines Resort for this inaugural event.
