Swing Align – The Most Versatile Swing Training Device in Golf

(Oceanside, CA) – When it comes to great golf swing training aids, most devices only address one aspect of swing mechanics. Very few work on multiple swing issues, until now.

Swing Align, the next great golf swing training device, is helping golfers improve through consistent alignment with their target line, through keeping their arms and body in sync while rotating, and by making it easy to build a repeatable golf swing.

Swing Align is an intuitive training aid that is simple to use. Click HERE to learn more about how Swing Align works.

Swing Align was developed by golf industry veterans with more than 60 years' experience, and with input from PGA Tour players as well as top golf instructors. The device provides instant visual feedback and uses muscle memory to ingrain good habits. It can be used to practice at home or on the driving range.

“Two of the biggest issues golfers have are setting up properly and staying connected throughout their golf swing,” says Chris McGinley, co-founder and 30-year golf industry veteran. “The Swing Align training aid was designed to help golfers set up square and hit it solid by providing a strong visual indicator they can use to line up square to their intended target. The device uses muscle memory to develop a repeatable golf swing with more power and accuracy by keeping their arms and body synchronized when rotating.”

Swing Align is a wearable device featuring a highly visible alignment rod that runs through adjustable arm cuffs that swivel and are held together by a flexible connection belt. This allows golfers to use the training device to make an athletic swing with any of their golf clubs, from the driver to irons, wedges or putter. The training aid comes in standard or XL sizes and has an optional, ground-based alignment product with a sliding ball position indicator puck.

Swing Align provides multiple solutions to improve many aspects of the golf swing. It is designed to be primarily worn on the upper body across the biceps for swing training but can also be worn on the lower body just above the knees for additional short game training.

Devan Bonebrake, a Golf Channel Academy Lead Instructor and a Golf Digest Top Young Teacher (2017-2019), believes Swing Align is the perfect swing training aid for golfers and instructors with their students.

“Most golfers including many of my students, struggle with alignment, rotating the body correctly, or staying connected during the golf swing,” said Bonebrake. “The great thing about Swing Align is it works on all of those aspects - whether you’re a scratch golfer, or brand new to golf. I don’t know of a more versatile training aid than Swing Align.

Aligning the Body
Swing Align is a great golf alignment aid. Most experienced golfers are already familiar with one of the most basic alignment tricks; having someone hold a golf club against their chest to show where the body is pointed. In the past someone else had to facilitate this method. Not anymore. Swing Align uses this concept to allow golfers to easily practice and perfect proper alignment on their own.

The Golf Backswing
The golf backswing can be broken down into three integral parts: rotation, swing plane, and keeping the arms and body connected. Swing Align shows common backswing flaws and helps golfers to fully rotate their shoulders on plane while using the big muscles to keep the arms and body synchronized. Many instructors refer to this rotation and synchronization as connection.

Rotation and Swing Plane
Swing Align provides great visual feedback at the top of the backswing. If the alignment rod is perpendicular to the target line at the top of the swing, the body has properly rotated. If the alignment rod is horizontal to the ground, or pointed slightly down, the body has maintained the proper spine angle and swing plane while rotating.

Arm-Body Synchronization
Swing Align is the perfect tool for arm-body synchronization. The connection belt keeps the arms from separating from the body and from each other during the swing, freeing the golfer up to focus on using those larger muscles to rotate and power the golf swing.

Strong Feedback
Swing Align provides powerful feedback and visual memory through the alignment rod; making it easier to learn alignment, rotation and swing plane on your own. Regular use of the device while hitting balls promotes muscle memory, especially for timing and connection. The device can be used on or off the course working wonders for golf swing mechanics.

“One of the great things about Swing Align is how you can use it to hit balls with full-swing shots and stay connected developing important muscle memory in the golf swing," explains Bonebrake. "The connection belt guides your movement, and because it holds the arms together you can't help but properly deliver and release the club squarely. There is no need to hold back. You can set up and take full speed swings with any club and be confident that Swing Align will keep you better aligned and connected."

Swing Align is being used by golfers of all skill levels. Highly skilled golfers who want to reinforce the proper fundamentals, serious golfers committed to learning and improving, recreational players who need a quick tune up, and beginning golfers interested in learning what the proper golf swing feels like. In addition, instructors are using Swing Align to make their lessons more effective and help students become better players.

(Worley, Idaho) – Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel today announces that Circling Raven Golf Club will open its 15th Anniversary Season for play on April 12, teeing up the commemorative occasion with arguably the most value-laden green fee in the game, according to GOLF.

The magazine rates Circling Raven an exceptional bargain, naming the inspirational Gene Bates design to the “Best Golf Courses You Can Play in America Under $100” list.

Circling Raven sports a modest green fee that enhances the tranquil ambience.”

Weekday green fees are $79 for 18 holes, Monday-Thursday, April 12-May 23 ($89 on Friday-Sunday and holidays). Prices increase to $89 on weekdays during peak season (May 24-October 6), and $99 on Friday-Sunday and holidays.

Additional value can be had through the “Early Bird Stay-and-Play Package,” good from April 12 to May 23, and including golf for two players and one night’s stay (double occupancy). Package options start at $223 and go to $287, price dependent on day of week and whether the Mountain Lodge or Spa Tower are selected.

Offering affordable green fees and packages is the tip of the iceberg at Circling Raven during its 15th Anniversary Season. The “Easter Brunch & Golf Package” (breakfast buffet in casino and golf $99 per person) is offered on April 21. May 4 brings Callaway Demo Day, 10 am to 2 pm, which includes complimentary use of the pristine, 25-acre practice range. Spend $500 or more and receive a 2-for-1 green fees voucher. USGA Expands Player Relations in Naming Longtime PGA Tour Player Jason Gore as Senior Director

Four-Time U.S. Open Competitor, 1997 Walker Cup Team Member Will Lead Player Relations Team, Engaging with Elite Amateur and Professional Players Across the Game

(LIBERTY CORNER, N.J.) – Following an extensive search, the USGA has appointed longtime PGA Tour player and four-time U.S. Open competitor Jason Gore as its first senior director, Player Relations.

The appointment launches a comprehensive program aimed at sharing information and strengthening engagement with players in areas of importance to the USGA. These include initiatives to grow and advance the game, research critical to the game’s health, and continuing to incorporate the players' perspective in its work to advance the sport.

Gore’s primary role will be to interact with professional and elite amateur players across the game, particularly focusing on competitors in the USGA’s Open and amateur championships. He will lead a team of full-time staff dedicated to player relations, including Liz Fradkin, who assumed her player relations role last fall. Previously the manager of the USGA’s Curtis Cup Team and a member of the U.S. Women’s Amateur staff, Fradkin has already been a fixture at several LPGA Tour events.

They will be joined by Robert Zalzneck and Ali Kicklighter, who will manage USGA player services with an emphasis on onsite services at the USGA’s four Open championships.

“Jason is a dynamic individual who has a great passion for the USGA and the game of golf and is widely recognized and respected by Tour players and staff, as well as industry influencers,” says John Bodenhamer, senior managing director, Championships. “Filling this role has been a strategic priority for the organization for some time and in Jason, we have someone who will bring us player insights and share our position on matters of importance to the game.”

A Southern California native, Gore, his wife, Megan, and their two children, will relocate to New Jersey in the coming months. A brief bio is below:
Jason Gore
- Graduate, Pepperdine University (2000 – psychology); 1997 NCAA Division I team champions
- Member of the 1997 Walker Cup Team
- Competed in the U.S. Open in 1998, 2005, 2008 & 2010; final Sunday pairing with Retief Goosen at Pinehurst in 2005
- Competed in the U.S. Amateur in 1992, 1993, 1995 & 1997
- Competed in the U.S. Junior Amateur in 1990
- Captured 12 professional wins: One PGA Tour win (84 Lumber Classic in 2005) among 16 top-10 finishes; all-time record seven Web.com Tour wins; four additional professional wins
- Amateur wins: 1996 Sahalee Players Championship; 1997 Pacific Coast Amateur; 1997 California - Amateur; 1997 California Open (as an amateur)
- Competed in more than 500 events on the PGA Tour (291) and Web.com (233) tours
- Served on the PGA Tour’s Player Advisory Council (PAC) nine times

“I have the utmost respect for the USGA and proudly tell everyone that my experience in the 1997 Walker Cup was the highlight of my golf career,” said Gore, 44, who won the PGA Tour’s 84 Lumber Classic in 2005 and played in Sunday’s final pairing of the 2005 U.S. Open at Pinehurst. “I’m incredibly honored to have been invited to play this role and can’t wait to get started.”

Added Bodenhamer: “While we’ve often engaged with players on a variety of projects and enjoy many longstanding relationships, this is the first time we have dedicated a team of full-time staff members to serve as year-long ambassadors for the USGA, as well as a voice for players. We’re excited to see what has been a long-term priority coming to fruition.”

David Wright Named 'Honorary Ambassador' of the 2019 PGA Championship at Bethpage Black

“Honorary Ambassador Torch” passed from Cardinals Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith to Mets Superstar David Wright at Spring Training Game

(PORT ST. LUICE, FL) – In a pre-game ceremony before a NY Mets vs. St. Louis Cardinals spring training game, the PGA of America named David Wright – former Mets third baseman, 7-time All-Star and 2-time Gold Glove Award recipient – as “Honorary Ambassador” of the 2019 PGA Championship to be played at Bethpage Black from May 13-19.

The Honorary Ambassador title was created to salute an individual from the PGA Championship host city who embodies the core values of the PGA of America, is passionate about the game of golf and is strongly connected to the community. Last year’s 100th PGA Championship in St. Louis honored Ozzie Smith, former St. Louis Cardinals shortstop and member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, as the inaugural recipient.

Smith was on hand for the festivities to officially pass the torch from Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, host of the 100th PGA Championship, to Bethpage Black in New York, host of the 2019 PGA Championship this May. Wright accepted the honor during an on-field presentation, and the Mets celebrated the occasion with the Wanamaker Trophy on display and golf-themed fan activations throughout the game.

First arriving in NYC in 2004, Wright quickly cemented himself as one of the most beloved players in Mets history during his stellar 14-year career. On the field, Wright was a cornerstone of the Mets infield along with a steady bat at the plate. Off the field, it was the quality of Wright’s character that made him a fan favorite and a leader in the community. After battling spinal stenosis for two years, Wright made a comeback and concluded his playing career in 2018. Today, he continues to serve the Mets and the community in various charitable roles.

“David Wright epitomizes what being an Honorary Ambassador of the PGA Championship is all about,” said Scott Reid, 2019 PGA Championship Director. “New Yorkers are familiar with his strong connection to the community and his reputation for being one of the most charitable athletes in professional sports. David’s not too shabby on a golf course either. It’s his love of golf and his passion for New York, in addition to the quality of his character, that make him the perfect fit as our Honorary Ambassador.”

Wright will be honored during PGA Championship Week from May 13-19 at Bethpage Black, with specific details about his on-site activities to be released shortly.

“It's an honor to carry on the PGA Championship's Honorary Ambassador legacy established last year in St. Louis by my friend, Ozzie Smith," said Wright. "To advocate on behalf of the PGA of America, as they bring their major championships to New York, was an exciting opportunity I could not pass up. After so many summers at the ballpark, I am really looking forward to spending the second full week in May at Bethpage Black."

Arcis Golf Partners with Els For Autism

New Programs Include Fundraising and Awareness Nationwide

(DALLAS) — Arcis Golf —the second largest owner-operator of private, resort, and daily fee clubs in the United States—will launch a nationwide campaign in April called “Arcis Round Up For Autism” that expands its partnership with legendary golfer Ernie Els and the Els for Autism Foundation.

In conjunction with April’s World Autism Month, the “Arcis Round Up For Autism” program at 60 Arcis Golf clubs around the country will encourage members, guests, and patrons to “round up” to the nearest dollar on any purchases of merchandise, food and beverage, or golf as a donation to the charity. Additional contributions will be accepted through September, with clubs or individuals raising or donating $15,000 or more invited to send a two-person team to play in the Els for Autism Golf Challenge Grand Finale event in mid-October.

“Arcis Golf is proud to support the Els for Autism initiative through the participation of our generous members and guests,” said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Dallas-based Arcis Golf. “Our goal is to promote the tremendous work of the foundation, as well as raise funds for programs that create a better future for people with autism spectrum disorder as one in every 59 children in the United States is affected by autism.”

"The support and partnership of Arcis Golf is truly appreciated,” said Els, who established the Els for Autism Foundation in 2009 with his wife, Liezl, after their son Ben was diagnosed. “By rounding up and engaging golfers in this simplest of actions, we can generate funds to learn more about autism.”

The couple has devoted its efforts to The Els Center of Excellence, a world-class facility hosting leading-edge autism programs and services in Jupiter, Fla. Els for Autism is committed to helping those with autism fulfill their potential to lead positive, productive, and rewarding lives.

The partnership with the Els Foundation is one of several ways Arcis Golf supports organizations nationally. Arcis Golf recently renewed its support of the United States Adaptive Golf Alliance, providing resources at select Arcis Golf facilities around the country including access to golf courses and PGA professionals within the Arcis Golf portfolio, as well as fundraising opportunities through Arcis Golf members.

Branson CVB Invests in Flourishing Golf Destination, Fueling Travel Niche Growth

Missouri Ozarks Garnering Awareness from Golfers Worldwide; Innovative Product Drives Expansion

(BRANSON, MISSOURI) – Branson Convention and Visitors Bureau (“Explore Branson”) continues investing in its golf product, which is increasingly garnering global attention and traveler demand driven by new, paradigm-shifting courses joining existing high-quality ones in the destination.

Furthering its support for and knowledge that the travel niche is just beginning to achieve critical mass – and is poised to explode through expanded brand awareness – Explore Branson last year joined the International Association of Golf Tour Operators. IAGTO is golf tourism’s global trade organization, featuring more than 2,250 member companies in 98 countries including 568 golf tour operators in 62 countries. IAGTO operators control over 85% of all golf vacation packages sold worldwide with annual sales exceeding $2.5 billion USD.

IAGTO manages annual golf tourism conventions in North America and Asia, the former at which Explore Branson is taking an aggressive promotional role in 2019. Furthermore, the Destination Marketing Organization hopes to expand the IAGTO relationship going forward.

“Because Branson is the fastest-growing and most-compelling place to golf in North America, perhaps the world, being an IAGTO International Sponsor strengthens our relationships with group tour operators as we educate them about the attributes that our destination offers their buyers,” said Samantha Gutting, Branson CVB and Chamber of Commerce Senior VP/Chief Sales Officer. “Underscoring our commitment to and belief in IAGTO, Branson is pursuing becoming the host venue for the North American Conference.”

What appeals to both golfers and golf tour operators about Branson is simple. There are approximately 17,500 courses in North America, but only one place where they’re coming online so fast and so distinctly. The burgeoning golf development in the Branson area features a who’s who of golf legends and course designers, including Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Fazio and Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.

What distinguishes the recently developed golf venues from others are their one-of-a-kind components. Nowhere else does players’ green fees get them play on an award-winning course by Nicklaus (Top of the Rock), but also admission to an adjacent geological wonder – the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail, complete with underground waterfalls and a bar. That Top of the Rock is the only par-3 layout that has been played as part of a PGA TOUR event in TOUR history – the Bass Pro Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge – underscores its unique excellence.

The geological theme runs through the area golf product. Millions-year-old limestone formations were unveiled and integrated into the Mountain Top Golf Course (designed by Player), which opened for its first full season in 2018. Adding to its unparalleled attributes are its unorthodox length (13 holes) and playing locations – players choose the teeing area on golf holes, which means they provide a different experience with changing starting points.

Part of Big Cedar Lodge, Mountain Top joins Top of the Rock and Buffalo Ridge Springs with geology and conservation inspiration illuminating the Ozarks’ renowned natural gifts. Buffalo graze adjacent to the latter course. And Top of the Rock sits perched high above the expansive, pristine Table Rock Lake. The course clubhouse includes 150-year-old wood beams transported from a barn in Arnold Palmer’s hometown in Latrobe, Pa. (Palmer designed the mind-boggling all-synthetic-turf driving range.)

Two new courses will open in 2019 and 2020 – Ozarks National and Payne’s Valley – both highly anticipated because the former will be played along with Top of the Rock in the Legends of Golf tourney, and the latter is authored by Tiger Woods and his golf architecture firm, TGR Design. It is Woods’ first ever public course – and includes a spectacular 19th hole with remarkable stone outcroppings and waterfalls – bringing to five the number of new courses that will have recently opened in the destination. That’s supersonic speed compared to the turtle’s pace that is post-recession golf course development worldwide.

“With exhilaratingly original new courses coming online and an array of well-regarded golf options existing in the Branson area, the timing is ideal to aggressively promote what Explore Branson area offers visitors,” said Lynn Berry, Branson CVB Director of Communications.

Golf is the newest Branson travel niche to gain extensive appeal there. Well known for its unique combination of “nature and neon,” Branson is an acclaimed live entertainment destination with scores of theaters, top-rated Silver Dollar City amusement park, and several lakes where boating, fishing and other outdoor activities make it middle America’s most visited destination.

That the charming Ozark Mountains enclave has added significant new attractions and development in recent years – from zip lines, museums, and new hotels, to Branson Landing, Dogwood Canyon, and several golf courses – has further catapulted Explore Branson into top destination status. So much so that the New York Times named it No. 21 on its “Top 52 Places to Visit Worldwide” in 2018.

Ozarks National and Top of the Rock are co-host courses of the PGA TOUR Champions Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge, April 24-28, 2019. Established Branson courses consistently rank among the best in the state. Branson Hills has been rated the No. 1 public course in Missouri, while Golf Digest bestows that distinction on Buffalo Ridge Springs. Thousand Hills, LedgeStone, and The Pointe at Pointe Royale are other popular options.

Meshed with the vast array of after-golf activities, Branson is tailor-made for intrepid travelers who love exploring best-in-kind places where there is an abundance of leisure, lodging, meeting, event, family, and dining options.

Introducing: LiveView Pro—Quality Golf Practice Literally Anywhere

(RELEASE) — The newest generation of the LiveView camera has finally arrived: LiveView Pro.

LiveView Sports changed the way golfers practice with the innovative LiveView camera—the golf studio that fits in your pocket.

This compact, 4-ounce camera clips onto a tripod or alignment rod, allowing golfers to capture their swing from any angle. The device connects wirelessly to the LiveView app on the user’s smartphone or tablet, where it displays mirror-image video in real time. Thanks to LiveView, golfers and other athletes have discovered the practice benefits of instant, visual feedback, observing themselves from any perspective and correcting errors the moment they happen.

The last generation of LiveView, LiveView+Plus, became a must-have for every golfer thanks to features such as:
-Video speed of 60 frames-per-second for high quality, high detail slow motion replay
-Option to draw coaching objects on video screen
-Smart swing trigger for auto record and instant video replay

Now, the all-new LiveView Pro takes these classic features to the next level by optimizing the LiveView camera for indoor use:
-The new, larger-than-ever lens gathers maximum light for clearer indoor video.
-LiveView Pro converts light with a sensor nearly 4 times larger than the previous model.
-The built-in wide angle lens reduces the minimum camera distance to 6.5 feet, making it easier to capture any angle of a golfer’s swing in an enclosed space.

These upgraded features make LiveView more versatile than ever. With this technology, accelerated improvement can be a reality for every golfer, no matter their practice environment. Even players without easy access to practice facilities in the cold season can now perfect their swing motion at home, with or without a ball, thanks to the features and feedback of LiveView Pro.

Even golfers who spend most of their practice time outdoors will quickly see the benefits of these advanced features. They can expect crisper images and reduced shaft-blur.

Finally—golfers no longer require wide open spaces and perfect weather to get in some truly quality practice. The new LiveView Pro levels the playing field and brings the benefits of kinesthetic learning right into your home or office.

For more information on how to take part in the promotion of LiveView Golf or marketing inquiries, contact Tyler Prins at Tyler@T-Interactive.com or by phone at 605-351-4378.

Nexbelt Team Staff Professional Jim Furyk captures a Runner-Up Finish at the Players Championship

(Rancho Cucamonga) — Nexbelt, The Belt With No Holes, captured a Runner-Up Finish on the PGA TOUR this past weekend as Nexbelt Tour Staff Professional, Jim Furyk finished 2nd at the Players Championship held at TPC Sawgrass Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

Jim Furyk
This is Furyks 23rd start at the Players Championship, and his record at the Stadium Course is indicative of his love-hate relationship with it. He finished runner-up in 2014 and was third in 2006.

At age 48, Furyk was asked how long he plans on playing events on the PGA Tour and what his plans are once he's eligible to play on the Champions Tour. "If I'm competitive and I feel like I'm knocking on the door and having opportunities to win, I'd like to play some out here." said Furyk. "If that's not the case, I'll go to the Champions Tour and see if I can be competitive out there."

It's obvious after shooting rounds of 71, 64, 71 and 67 at TPC Sawgrass this past weekend and finishing just one stroke off the lead, he's definitely still knocking on the door and giving himself opportunities to win on the PGA Tour.

This 2nd Place Finish moved him up 40 spots and he's now ranked 24th on the FedEx Cup Points List. Furyk joined the Nexbelt Team of Staff Professionals in 2015 and is an ambassador for their Rowland Thomas Series of belts this season.

Jim's Rowland Thomas Herrington Collection belt features a full grain Italian calfskin leather strap that is embossed in a brown herringbone texture. This premium luxury belt is designed to really step up your fashion game both on and off the course.

Tripp Davis and Associates’ Restoration of Dallas’ Northwood Club Honored

The club has been named the No. 1 Best Elite Country Club in DFW Area

(Norman, OK) — The Northwood Club in Dallas was recently recognized as the Best Country Club in Dallas/Fort Worth in the Elite Category and also honored as the Best Course Renovation of the Year by AvidGolfer DFW Magazine.  The renovation work was conducted by architect Tripp Davis and Associates (TDA). Davis’ redesign was called “astounding” and “fantastic,” and his work was praised for “keeping the course mostly intact while using subtlety to update the layout.”

AvidGolfer also highly ranked the 14th hole at Northwood Club as the Best Par 5 and the best tee shot in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

“I am honored to have Northwood recognized by AvidGolfer Magazine as the Best Elite Country Club and Best Renovation in Dallas/Fort Worth,” said Davis. “Our approach was to restore the original character found in Mr. Diddel’s greens, rebuild the bunkers to reflect Diddel’s style, and reposition bunkers and tees to be more strategically relevant for today’s game. To see our work elevate the status of Northwood is very gratifying.”

Originally designed by William Diddel in 1946, Northwood hosted the 1952 U.S. Open making it one of only three courses in Texas ever to have hosted this championship. Northwood also has been the site for several regional USGA, local North Texas PGA and AJGA tournaments.

Starting in 2016, TDA oversaw an 18-month major renovation of the historic course and unveiled a refreshing new look to its membership in April 2018.

TDA and builder Landscapes Unlimited restored all tees, greens and bunkers and reshaped most fairways, along with providing new cart paths, drainage and a new irrigation system.  TDA introduced Northbridge, a new Bermudagrass, which is used over the entire course with the exception of the Bentgrass greens.  In addition, creeks on the property were restored and a new irrigation lake was built to help the club recapture more water. Trees that were hiding the quality of the land were removed. Davis and his crew also rebuilt the practice facilities, including the driving range, and designed a 4 hole “Short Course” to broaden the playing options, especially for junior golfers. The “Short Course,” with holes ranging from 50-120 yards long, opened late November 2017.

Product Review: Wynnr Youth Golf Apparel

The million-dollar question in the golf industry has long been, “how do we grow the game?” Getting the next generation involved in the sport is difficult when they’re pulled in so many directions — school, after-school activities, other sports — and time is so precious.

In the past, when you managed get your kid on the course, it’s been hard to find the right outfit. When they’re playing baseball, soccer or basketball, they have a uniform. If they take dance or karate lessons, they have to wear the right gear.

What about golf? Many private, resort or high-end public courses have a dress code. Putting my son in my place, I assume he doesn’t want to play in ill-fitting clothes and doesn’t want to look out of place in sweats and a t-shirt. Luckily, I found Wynnr.

Founded by a divorced dad of three young girls, the company promises a “hip, fun and colorful assortment of junior golf apparel that makes a bold but subtle statement out on the course.” They also come with a “Happiness Guarantee.” If you are not pleased with one of their products, simply return it for a full refund. Considering kids change their minds frequently, this is priceless.

Wynnr offers polos, shorts and outerwear (vests and hoodies) for both boys and girls. The company supplements the girls’ collection with a dress and skorts. I can promise that there’s a color and/or style perfect for any young golfer.

These clothes are affordable, comfortable and well-made. With kids’ propensity to turn any activity into a wrestling match or dance-off, you’ll appreciate all Wynnr has to offer.

Log onto wynnr.com and check out the brand for yourself. Once you get your child on the golf course, take full advantage of the captive audience, whether it’s an hour, two hours or four hours.

Sea Pines Country Club Selects Phil Smith Design to Lead Course Enhancements

Masterplan to Include Renovations to Club Course, Practice Facility

(HILTON HEAD, S.C.) – Sea Pines Country Club – the lone private club within Sea Pines featuring golf, tennis, multiple pools and fitness – has selected golf course architect Phil Smith to create a masterplan for its esteemed Arnold Palmer-designed Club Course.

A roadmap for the future of one of the island’s best kept secrets, it entails an in-depth analysis of the club’s practice facility, tees, fairways, bunkers, greens, cart paths, irrigation and more. Upon completion of the masterplan, enhancements will begin on the practice facility, followed by restoration of Sea Pines’ only member-exclusive 18-hole course.

Based in Scottsdale, Ariz., Smith’s resume includes over 30 years working with PGA TOUR and golf course design legends Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf. His extensive experience has led him to execute numerous high-profile renovations, including work on the TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course, Desert Mountain’s Cochise, Geronimo and Renegade courses and a recent complete redesign of the Phoenician Golf Club. Phil is also busy completing several new designs including a new championship course at The Club at Flying Horse North in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“Phil Smith is one of the top names in golf course design, and we are thrilled to work with him on the masterplan for our Club Course,” says Robbie Ames, General Manager / COO of Sea Pines Country Club. “Sea Pines is committed to maintaining a top-rated golf course and facility for our members.”

Originally designed by Arnold Palmer in 1973 and renovated by Clyde Johnston in 2001, the Club Course is known for its narrow, tree-lined fairways, doglegs and small greens reminiscent of neighboring Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines Resort. The layout meanders through lagoons and marshes, coming to a triumphant finish with the par-4 18th hole perched along one of the island’s most vast expanses of Lowcountry tidewater.

“Our goal is to complement the existing Club Course characteristics and enhance the world class golf experience already enjoyed by Sea Pines Country Club members,” says Phil Smith. “Respecting the unique Lowcountry setting will be at the heart of any proposed renovations.”

In 2016 the members of Sea Pines Country Club approved the Vision 2020 Facility Enhancement Plan. Completed during the summer of 2017, the Clubhouse was transformed to present a modern and contemporary pub and grille, bringing the breathtaking tidal marsh views into every angle. The indoor and outdoor pool complexes were also fully modernized. Multi-million-dollar renovation and expansion plan for the fitness center is scheduled to be finished early summer 2019.
