(SHELTON, Wash.) – Salish Cliffs Golf Club (www.Salish-Cliffs.com) – the amenity course of Little Creek Casino Resort, located within an easy drive of Olympia and Seattle – cracked the top 10 of Golfweek’s 2013 “Best Casino Courses” list.
The Gene Bates design scored a No. 9 placement on the annual top-50 ranking and was the lone Pacific Northwest course named to the top 10. Owned and operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe, the course adds to other recent awards, including earning the No. 3 spot on Golfweek’s “America’s Best Courses You Can Play” in Washington and top-10 status in Golf Digest’s biennial “America’s Greatest Courses” by state.
“Earning this kind of acclaim and being mentioned with some of the best-known courses and casinos in the U.S. is a true honor,” says Head Golf Professional David Kass, PGA. “It’s the direct result of the commitment to excellence by the Squaxin Island Tribe, Little Creek Casino Resort and the entire Salish Cliffs staff.”
Stay-and-play packages at Little Creek Casino Resort through March start at $129 and include one-night accommodation, one round of golf, including cart and range balls, and a variety of discounts at the Salish Cliffs Grille and golf shop. Special green fee rates are available online at www.salish-cliffs.com and for hotel guests, Primetime Players (ages 50 and older) and military personnel. The course is open year-round.
The resort’s newly remodeled casino floor offers slot machines, poker, table games and bingo. In addition to Salish Cliffs, other new amenities include Seven Inlets Spa, a full-service RV Park and the Skookum Spirit Cigar and Wine Lounge. The resort regularly attracts headline acts and entertainment at the Skookum Creek Event Center, including live professional boxing.
