(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports has been honored by Golf Inc. Magazine in their annual Development of the Year and Best in Marketing awards.
Three KemperSports’ managed properties, The Prairie Club, Streamsong Resort and Harbor Shores were honored in the Best in Marketing awards where six of the 12 awards were given to KemperSports-managed properties.
“KemperSports, one of the nation’s biggest golf management companies, captured four first place awards, making it the biggest winner,” said writer Mike Stetz.
Development of the Year honors were given to two KemperSports’ managed properties, Bandon Preserve (2nd place) and Streamsong Resort (3rd place).
“We are very proud to be involved with all of these properties and of our staff members’ accomplishments,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “It is an honor to work with the owners to bring their vision to life.”
Bandon Preserve, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, represents the fifth course at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. The 13-hole, par-3 course is a course with a mission, as all net proceeds are given to the Wild Rivers Coast Alliance, which protects the land and waters on the South Coast of Oregon.
“What a fun offering,” said judge Rick Baril. “This team created a truly brilliant golf offering within a remarkable landscape.”
Streamsong Resort, with its Streamsong Red (Coore/Crenshaw) and Streamsong Blue (Doak) courses, is located in Polk County, Fla., on a site owned by The Mosaic Company that was previously a phosphate mine. The dramatic landscape and elevation changes create a truly unique golf experience. The Resort is touted in the publication for its “raw and rugged beauty.”
Streamsong Resort took three awards including, Best Website for Public Courses (1st place), Direct Marketing Campaign for Public Courses (2nd place) and Consumer Magazine/Publication Advertisement (2nd place).
The Prairie Club in Valentine, Neb., received a pair of first place awards in the Direct Marketing Campaign for Public Courses and Consumer Magazine/Publication Advertisement categories.
Harbor Shores, host of the 2014 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, took home first place honors in the Radio or Audio category.
