KemperSports and Industry Veteran Joins Team at Lake Forest, Ill. club
(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports announced that industry veteran Vince Juarez has been named general manager at Deerpath Golf Course in Lake Forest, Ill. A former KemperSports General Manager of the Year, Juarez will be tasked with leading the Deerpath team and building on the improvements made over the last few years at the 90 year old course on Chicago’s North Shore.
Juarez brings with him more than 20 years of club management experience in the Chicago region while spending the last four years as KemperSports’ general manager at Fox Lake Country Club in Fox Lake, Ill. During his successful tenure at Fox Lake, Juarez’s leadership led to an increase in play, revenues and customer happiness. Juarez was honored in 2014 as the KemperSports James R. Seeley General Manager of the Year.
“Vince is widely respected as one of the top general managers within KemperSports,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “He will be a great addition to Deerpath and help lead the team as it looks to continue improvements in the golf experience and performance of the facility.”
Deerpath Golf Course, which has served as a first-class community asset for more than eight decades, includes an 18-hole public course, measures 6,255 yards with a par 70 and 5,487 yards with a par 72 for women. The historic course features spectacular mature trees, high quality naturalized areas and beautiful features including ponds and streams. The golf course remains a hub in the community while providing an exceptional public golf experience with great service and environmentally-friendly golf course conditioning.
Northbrook, Ill.-based KemperSports has managed Deerpath Golf Course on behalf of the Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Commission since 2012.
