Event Will Cap a Weekend of Activities Raising Money for Folds of Honor Foundation
(Cherry Grove, S.C.) – One of America’s best and most scenic courses is hosting an event to benefit one of the nation’s most worthwhile charities.
The second annual Tidewater Patriot Day Charity Golf Tournament will be played September 7 at Tidewater Golf Club, capping a weekend full of activities to raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation.
“This event is one the highlights of our year,” said Archie Lemon, Tidewater Golf Club’s general manager. “There is so much to do throughout the weekend and it’s a wonderful time, but we never lost sight of why we do it: to raise money for the families of American service men and women, who were killed or disabled in battle. The Folds of Honor Foundation does wonderful work and we are delighted to help them.”
The tournament will tee-off at 9 a.m. at Tidewater, a top 100-caliber course that is in superb condition following a 2014 renovation project that included the installation of new greens. The day will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. and include pre-tournament ceremonies on the driving range.
Entry into the tournament is $600 per team and more information is available at www.TidewaterCharityTournament.com.
In addition to golf, the Labor Day weekend activities will also include a charity bowling event, highlighted by an appearance by Rhino Page, a three-time winner on the PBA Tour, a Zumbathon with Sara McGrail, a golf clinic led by LPGA instructor Meredith Kirk, one of Golf.com’s most beautiful women in golf, and keynote speaker Robin Carpenter, the mother of Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter.
Information on how to participate in all of the weekend’s event is available at www.TidewaterCharityTournament.com.
