AlmostGolf Ball is Key Ingredient to Implementing Grow the Game, Golf 2.0-Type Initiatives

(CULVER CITY, CA) - The almostGOLF ball, a safe, limited distance and true performance golf ball with internal pressure has proven to be an essential ingredient in the success of many past, present and future grow the game initiatives including Golf 2.0 announced at the PGA Merchandise Show by Jack Nicklaus and the PGA of America.

Just like what the softball did for baseball, the almostGOLF ball has broken the safety barrier, yet with true flight characteristics. It provides a fun and challenging golf experience off the golf course in parks and schoolyards, in limited distance driving ranges or practice areas where safety is an issue, or even on a Par 3 course where it can be used with a driver.

Golf teaching pros across the US will attest to the necessity of the almostGOLF ball for instruction and introduction of golf fundamentals to new golfers of all ages.

According to Joshua Jacobs, Founder/CEO of TGA Premier Junior Golf and on the Golf 2.0 Building Blocks Advisory Committee; "The almostGOLF ball helps makes golf accessible and creates opportunities to grow the game in places and ways the industry hasn't seen before."

This view is further illustrated by Brendon R. Elliott, PGA who says, "Through our Little Linksters program, we bring golf to the littlest of golfers, kids ages 3-8. We do so by bringing the game to them as opposed to them having to go to it. Our program takes place at Daycares, city parks, YMCA's, playgrounds and anywhere else we can think of. This kind of set up is only possible because of outside-the-box-thinking companies like almostGolf. The products that almostGolf provides, the Ball and the Play Anywhere Targets literally bring the game of golf anywhere! In order to grow the game, we need to move away from the golf course and make any conceivable location a place to learn. almostGOLF makes this possible."

A misconception about the almostGOLF ball sometimes results from comparison to other practice balls on the market - blow molded, hollow balls and 'squishy' foam balls made in China. Although on its outward appearance, the solid core, made-in-the-USA almostGOLF ball may seem like these balls, the technology inside tells a different story when the ball is hit.

Chris Knobloch, PGA, a USKids Top 50 Master Kids Teacher says, "I have used the almostGOLF ball since I was sent a couple of sample balls over 8 yrs ago. In that time frame, I have had over 4000 kids in my junior program enjoy hitting the almostGOLF Ball on soccer fields, in school gyms, hallways, and on the golf course, too. The almostGOLF Ball has provided me with a great tool to start and improve junior golfers... as young as 2 yrs old." And a quote from one of Chris' students, "It's a golf ball that is made for me.... Big time fun to hit."
