Sundog Eyewear congratulates Louis Oosthuizen

(EAST LONDON, South Africa) - Sundog Eyewear is pleased to congratulate Louis Oosthuizen on his dramatic second straight Africa Open victory.

At the European Tour’s season-opening event in the 2012 Race to Dubai, Oosthuizen successfully defended his 2011 title with a 35-foot birdie putt on the 71st hole to finish at 27 under par to defeat countrymen Tjaart van der Walt by two shots and Retief Goosen by three.

Oosthuizen is one of the game’s finest players with seven International victories including the 2010 Open Championship.

Defending his Africa Open title at the East London Golf Club, Oosthuizen wore his Sundog Eyewear of choice, the Draw Mela-Lens model.

“Mela” is an abbreviation for Melanin, a naturally produced pigment that acts as a sunscreen protecting the skin from High Energy Visible light or “blue” light. In partnership with BNL Sun Lenses, an Essilor company, Sundog Eyewear has created the Sundog Mela-Lens lines utilizing synthetic melanin to produce state-of-the-art melanin lens technology. Mela-Lens absorbs light seamlessly over a broad spectral range providing superior blue light filtration with minimal color distortion, and 100 percent UVA/B protection. Mela-Lens features the Eternity Hard Coat for superior abrasion resistance.

Oosthuizen’s fellow Genuine Performers wearing Sundog Eyewear Mela-Lens sunglasses include Paula Creamer, Pablo Larrazábal, and Mike Weir.

The 2012 Sundog Eyewear line features 12 new models and the Paula Creamer Collection; Mike Weir’s Weir Golf Signature Series; Mela-Lens Polarized and Mela-Lens Photochromic models; and the complete Core Golf line.
