Steve Stricker Relies on Full Line of FootJoy Performance Products to Win in Hawaii

FootJoy Brand Ambassador Steve Stricker kicked off the 2012 season in style, cruising to victory at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions for his 12th career victory. Stricker, now ranked #5 in the world, closed with a 4-under 69 Monday for a three shot victory. He is now a perfect seven-for-seven when entering the final round of a 72-hole event with the outright lead.

Stricker surged to the top of the leaderboard during Saturday's second round with an impressive 10-under 63 and was steady over the final two rounds with consecutive 69's. Applying pressure on the leader was an army of FJ players. In the winners-only field, 78% of the participants chose FJ golf shoes, including 13 of the top 15 finishers. This follows a remarkable 2011 season during which FJ players were victorious in 30 of the 46 events (65%) on the PGA Tour.

Stricker's victory coincides with the launch of FJ's first full line performance apparel collection now available to consumers. Steve has been wearing FJ apparel since the beginning of the 2011 season and wore shirts from three of the Spring 2012 fashion color collections at Kapalua.

Stricker notes: "I love the new apparel, especially the shirts, because they're comfortable and very easy to play in. I was impressed with how well they wick moisture, too. Last year at the John Deere Classic it was incredibly hot and humid but the shirt looked and felt as good when I finished as it did when I started my round."

In addition to a representation of FJ apparel, Steve relied upon the comfort and stability of DryJoys Tour golf shoes in managing the steep hills of Kapalua. "Built for the Tour That Inspired Them," DryJoys Tour deliver the comfort, flexibility and waterproof performance that players at all levels have come to expect from the DryJoys brand while integrating the next generation Tri-Density TPU Stability PODS outsole for the stability and performance required to compete on the tour's most demanding courses, like the Plantation Course.

After claiming the lead following 36 holes, Stricker executed several flawless feel shots en route to victory, trusting the amazing fit and performance of the Pure Touch Limited glove. The new standard in product leadership, innovation and outstanding performance for the committed player, Pure Touch Limited delivers a soft, supple feel and a precision, tailored fit.
