Fairways + Greens Names 'Best Of Everything' in Golf

(Quincy, Mass.) - Now available on newsstands across America, The January-February 2012 issue of Fairways + Greens Magazine gets the new year off to an exciting start by compiling a unique and informative list of "The Best of Everything" in golf travel and lifestyle.

Two dozen golf journalists and other experts join Fairways + Greens Managing Editor Darin Bunch and Publisher Vic Williams for a far-reaching collection of "bests" that bring not only the nation and world's top golf courses and resorts into focus, but reveal plenty of surprises on the food, drink and all-around experience fronts.

"Instead of just coming out with the same old laundry list of 'top' courses that most magazines rehash every year, we decided to do something that will truly catch the fancy not only of avid golfers, but anyone who loves to travel," says Bunch. "Putting together this issue was as much fun as we've had in years giving our readers the kind of entertaining and enlightening information they crave from our publication."

The "Best of Everything" issue consists of Top 9 lists of courses and places to stay from 24 writers, photographers and golf industry experts, along with top restaurants, indispensable pieces of golf apparel, favorite 19th holes, individual dishes and drinks and such fascinating trivia as Best Sunset Bagpiper, Best Course in the Middle of Nowhere, Best Affordable Golf Destination and even Best Place to Break Down on a Motorcycle.

Other highlights of the issue include:

• A "Dream" rundown of North Carolina's Sandhills region, complete with winter stay-play deals

• An exclusive "Chat" with Bandon Dunes developer Mike Keiser on why he believes golf travelers will keep seeking out new adventures

• "Unwind" section on Best Spas in America, for golfers or anyone.

The next issue of Fairways + Greens, March-April 2012, concentrates on great golf trails around the United States, while the May-June issue will dive into summer planning for the ultimate golf getaway. Also on the horizon are a brand new "Marketplace" advertising showcase and a completely revamped and reimagined Online Course Directory.
