(SANFORD, FL) - The February 2012 issue of Golf Digest has hit the newsstands and its official ... RIFE Putters has made the prestigious Golf Digest Hot List for the 6th time in the past seven years. Four of RIFE's Island Series putters, the Abaco, Aruba, Cayman Brac and Trinidad have all been honored in the "Blade" category.
The Golf Digest Hot List is derived from in-depth club testing that is administered by a Hot List Panel consisting of 38 Players, Scientists, Retailers, and Judges, who this year reviewed hundreds of products and came up with what they refer to as the equipment that is most intriguing, and most significant for 2012.
Each product was rated and given points in several different categories including, Performance, Innovation, Look/Sound/Feel, and Demand. RIFE's Island Series putters received high marks in all categories tested including 4 out of 5 stars for Performance, Innovation and Demand. According to Golf Digest Magazine, "Center-shafted blades are not usually for the masses. This one (the Trinidad) drew unanimous raves for its roll from our testers."
All of these Island Series putters will be available in either a Standard Silver Finish or in RIFE's brand new Tropical Finish for 2012. This Tropical Finish is created by using a vacuum "Ti" plating process" on the head of the putter. A broad spectrum of colors emanate from this deep rich gunmetal like finish creating a "rainbow effect" depending upon how the light hits it. The new finish has other benefits aside from its eye-catching appearance. The finish prevents oxidization, increases hardness and makes the putter very wear-resistant.
"It's a huge honor to have our putters make the Hot List," said Robby Hipp, Director of Development for RIFE Putters. "This year we integrated our patented RollGrooveTM Technology Face and Alignment Notch System into some more traditional putter designs like the Trinidad, the Aruba and the Cayman Brac. Receiving six Golf Digest Hot List Awards in seven years is a pretty good indication that we're on the right track."
