Adams Golf Also Extends Partnership with Southwest Airlines
(Carlsbad, Calif.) – Adams Golf, an industry leader in hybrid innovation and technology, announced today the addition of Boo Weekley (@booweekley) to its roster of PGA TOUR staff professionals and brand ambassadors. Weekley, a three-time PGA TOUR winner and widely considered one of the most personable players on TOUR, will play select Adams products and serve as brand ambassador.
The 41-year old Weekley joined the PGA TOUR in 2002 and captured his first victory in dramatic fashion at the Heritage Classic in 2007. The following year, he successfully defended his title, becoming the third player in the tournament’s 46-year history to win in back-to-back years and jumped into the top 25 of the OWGR. Following that PGA TOUR season, Weekley was a member of the victorious 2008 Ryder Cup team, where he went 2-0-1 overall and earned the United States 2.5 points.
“Boo has been a longtime advocate of the Adams brand and we're excited to connect him and his infectious personality with golfers,” said John Ward, President of Adams Golf. “Ball striking comes easy to Boo, and Adams makes equipment to help golfers hit quality shots more consistently. It’s a perfect partnership.”
In addition to Weekley becoming Adams’ newest tour staff professional, Adams has also agreed to an extension of its partnership agreement with Southwest Airlines. Along with Weekley, Adams’ PGA TOUR staffers Aaron Baddeley, Jeff Overton, and Steve Wheatcroft, will join brand ambassador Gary McCord playing a selection of Adams clubs, while carrying Southwest Airlines staff bags throughout the 2015 PGA TOUR season.
