Old Chatham Golf Club Showcases Ingram Collection of Iconic Porsches

Prestigious Golf Club Delights Members with Elite Display of World-Famous Porsche Models

(RALEIGH, N.C.) – Old Chatham Golf Club, a nationally recognized, premier private golf club located in the heart of North Carolina’s greater Triangle region, recently hosted the Ingram Collection of iconic Porsches, much to the delight of club members. For one evening only, more than 70 members and their guests were able to view the breathtaking cars, as well as enjoy world-class wines from Reynolds Family Winery and browse through a rare collection of timepieces from Rolex. Old Chatham’s 18th hole provided a stunning backdrop for a night of cars and camaraderie enjoyed by the members and guests of Old Chatham, who appreciate the finer things in life.

This was duly witnessed by the fine collection of members own collection of exquisite cars lined up in the front of the clubhouse.

Bob Ingram, general partner at Hatteras Venture Partners, owns and curates the Ingram Collection. He brought four Porsche models to Old Chatham, including the following:
-2016 Porsche 911/991 GT3RS – This is Porsche’s latest iteration of the iconic Renn Sport 911 model, the first model only available in paddle shift with 500 horsepower.
-2010 Porsche 911/997.2 GT3RS 3.8 – a 450 horsepower model with manual transmission.
-1955 Porsche 550 Spyder – Perhaps the most iconic Porsche model ever. This model, along with the Porsche 917, won Porsche's first big races (at Le Mans), and were raced competitively for 10 years. In racing trim, these cars weighed just over 1,200 pounds and had 110 horsepower.
-1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS – Bob Ingram’s personal favorite of the collection. This was Porsche's first fiberglass bodied racecar, which marked the beginning of a series of sports cars that culminated in the mighty 917. With its headlights and taillights meeting German highway specifications, race-prepared they weighed 1,400 pounds, and with 180 horsepower were capable of 160 miles per hour.
