For more than 20 years, Golf Inc. has annually honored the best clubhouse projects. Candidates are separated into two categories: new construction and renovation. Nine projects earned scores high enough to be honored in the 2015 Clubhouse of the Year feature. The selection of the Plantation Golf Club as the winner was announced in the just-released May / June issue.
The 23,000-square-foot facility services the resorts Heron Point by Pete Dye and Ocean Course. Its amenities include an expansive pro shop; Live Oak bar and grill featuring Lowcountry cuisine; 2,000 square feet of event space; and spacious mens and womens locker rooms. It is also home to the resorts premier Golf Learning Center, directed by acclaimed golf instructor Tim Cooke.

Two additional ventures have been recently completed at The Sea Pines Resort. The new 55,000-square-foot multi-use Harbour Town Clubhouse opened just prior to this years PGA TOUR RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. Last September, the spectacular new 25,000-square-foot Sea Pines Beach Club was unveiled. Featuring year-round enjoyment for guests and property owners, it houses an array of family-friendly amenities including dining, retail and special event space.
The resorts myriad activities includes 54 holes of exceptional golf, tennis with 21 clay courts, five miles of sweeping Atlantic seascapes, and 15 miles of leisure paths for biking and hiking.
