The Kingdom at Reynolds Plantation Elevates Unrivaled Golf Experience

(Greensboro, Georgia) – Reynolds Plantation—the lakefront golf resort community located between Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia—has long been known as the South’s most complete and exciting golf experience, featuring six outstanding courses (117 holes) and the best high-tech instruction and club fitting.

As of this spring, Reynolds Plantation has raised its game with the expansion of its exclusive working relationship with TaylorMade-adidas Golf and a relocation and expansion of the Reynolds Golf Academy.  The Kingdom at Reynolds Plantation will now be accessible to both Reynolds Plantation members and resort guests for the most state- of-the art-club fittings available.  TaylorMade has also expanded the Kingdom’s service through the creation of the Putting Lab, a new high-performance putting studio.

The Kingdom is one of only two venues in the country where recreational golfers can be fit for equipment in the same environment used by PGA TOUR and club professionals on staff with TaylorMade-adidas Golf (TMaG).  Its newest feature is the Quintic high-speed camera in the Putting Lab.  Shooting at 250 frames per second, this camera has revolutionized custom putter fitting.  The Putting Lab at Reynolds Plantation is one of the few in the country that makes it available to the public.
This new feature joins a battery of cutting edge fitting equipment at the Kingdom at Reynolds Plantation that includes:

Club-fitting and swing analysis using the Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade (MAT-T)
Use of the Trackman launch monitor technology that features Doppler Radar allows a TaylorMade Kingdom representative to validate the complete fitting process.

The ability to custom-build and deliver equipment made by a master club builder inside the TaylorMade Tour Trailer on site.  The only other place this service is available is at the headquarters of TaylorMade in Carlsbad, California.

In addition to the new and improved services of the Kingdom, the Reynolds Golf Academy is also expanding, providing guests with more access to the world class instructional services provided by Golf Magazine Top 100 instructor Charlie King and his team of teachers.  A new video analysis studio has been constructed directly adjacent to the Oconee golf shop and a dedicated area on the main practice tee has been established.  These changes will provide an even more prominent platform for King to improve players through his New Rules of Golf instructional programs.

“Game improvement is a cornerstone of the Reynolds Plantation lifestyle,” said Mark Lammi, Vice President of Golf Operations for Reynolds Plantation. “The components of the Kingdom and Academy are world-class, but bring them together, as we are uniquely able to do, and our members and guests can receive one-of-a-kind instruction and club fitting experience.  Then combine that with our unmatched variety of golf and our members and guests of Reynolds Plantation have a golf experience without comparison.”

The enhancements of The Kingdom and the Reynolds Golf Academy are the latest examples of the multi-million dollar renovation in progress at Reynolds Plantation. Nearly every facet of the award-winning residential golf community – from the six golf courses designed by the five legendary architects- Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Rees Jones, Bob Cupp, and Jim Engh, to the AAA Five Diamond The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation – is being improved.
