Inbee Park Wins 2013 Kraft Nabisco Championship
(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) – Srixon congratulates staffer Inbee Park for her victory at the LPGA’s 2013 Kraft Nabisco Championship at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The 24-year-old South Korean won by four strokes to move to No. 2 in the Rolex Rankings.
“[No. 1] is the place that I’ve always wanted and I only have one more spot to go,” Park said. “Everything has been going the right way this season. It feels good.”
Park made 20 birdies over 72 holes and posted rounds of 70-67-67-69—273 (15-under par). After beginning the final round with a three-shot lead, she birdied two of her first five holes to open up a seven-shot lead, allowing her to cruise to a relatively uncontested victory.
Park now has two victories in five tournament appearances in 2013, as well as four wins in her last 16 events. She now also owns two major championships, the first coming at the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open title. Park won the LPGA’s 2012 Official Money title, as well as the 2012 Vare Trophy for lowest scoring average.
Park played with a new Srixon Z-STAR ball, while carrying a XXIO 7 driver, XXIO Forged irons (5-PW) and Cleveland 588 wedges (47°, 51°, 56°). Park wears a Srixon hat, glove and shoes, and carries a Srixon bag.
