Compass Pointe, Eisenhower Golf Courses Celebrate Military Appreciation Week

(VIENNA, VA) - Compass Pointe and Eisenhower golf courses - owned by Anne Arundel County and managed by Billy Casper Golf - will celebrate Military Appreciation Week today through 7 with reduced greens fees for active and retired members of all Armed Services branches.

Members of the military can play 18 holes at either Compass Pointe (Pasadena, MD) or Eisenhower (Crownsville, MD) for $25 (greens fees, cart, lunch) Monday through Friday and $35 (greens fees, cart, lunch) Saturday and Sunday during Military Appreciation Week. In addition, both courses will conduct long drive, closest-to-the-pin and putting contests daily.

"The Naval Academy and Fort Meade, among other installations, give Anne Arundel County a strong military tradition," says Mike Senneca, General Manager of Compass Pointe. "The reduced rates allow us to give back to the men and women in uniform who serve this country."

Gracefully routed through 800 acres of Maryland countryside, Compass Pointe Golf Courses - designed by award-winning architect Lindsay Ervin - offer players a wide variety of terrain throughout 36 holes of championship-caliber golf, including the links-style North / East combination and the tree-lined, parkland-style South / West pairing.

Both courses feature bent-grass on tees and greens, and the putting surfaces roll smooth and true. While the layouts may be demanding at times, lies from the fairway and around the green allow players every opportunity to make well-executed shots.

Compass Pointe offers a spacious practice putting green and a driving range with both natural grass and mat hitting bays. The Compass Pointe Golf Academy boasts an extensive player-development program featuring a wide variety of custom instruction for players of all skill levels.

The property houses a full-service golf shop, grille, two pavilions and a new outdoor patio for any size event or corporate outing.
