Golf on TV: Langer Leads Group of Six Players with Chance to Claim Charles Schwab Cup Championship

Finau, Fowler and Spieth Lead Field at Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico

(ORLANDO, Fla.) – The PGA TOUR Champions season culminates this week with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Arizona. Six men in the field have a mathematical chance of winning the season-long prize, including current leader in the standings, Bernhard Langer.

The PGA TOUR is in Mexico for the Mayakoba Golf Classic, with Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth headlining the field.

The European Tour holds its second-to-last event of the season at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa, leading into next week’s DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

The LPGA Tour also holds its penultimate event of the season this week at the Blue Bay LPGA in China. Shanshan Feng defends her 2017 title.

Sutherland defends: Kevin Sutherland finished one shot ahead of Lee Janzen and Vijay Singh to claim his first PGA TOUR Champions win along with the season-long Charles Schwab Cup.
