Announcement Regarding DraftKings & FanDuel Proposed Merger

For our readers who participate in Daily Fantasy Sports:

Dear AmGolferBlog,

As you may already know, DraftKings entered into a merger agreement with FanDuel last November. We learned today that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will attempt to block our merger.

We are disappointed by this approach and continue to believe that a merger is in the best interests of our players and the fantasy sports industry. The FTC's position on our merger is far from being the final word and we are considering all our options, including litigation.

This means that, for now, DraftKings and FanDuel will remain separate companies. We want to reassure you that you will not notice any changes to your account or to your experience with us for the foreseeable future. We will continue to offer best-in-class contests, prizes and offerings to our players. We will still focus on enhancing our products and features so we can continue delivering the exceptional sports entertainment experience you have always had with DraftKings.

This is an exciting time to be a sports fan and daily fantasy player. As we gear up for another successful NFL season, we will continue to put you - the sports fan - at the center of everything we do. We are excited to make this football season the best one yet with new products, innovative features and exciting contests ready to be rolled out.

If you have any further questions about this announcement, please visit our dedicated frequently asked questions section on the DraftKings website. If you need more assistance after reviewing the site content, feel free to email support@draftkings.com.

Thank you for your loyalty throughout this process. We would not be where we are today without you.

Best,

Jason Robins, Matt Kalish, Paul Liberman
Co-Founders, DraftKings
