WindRiver Selects KemperSports for Golf Course Operations, Management


Tennessee Lakefront and Golf Community Retains Management Company to Enhance Operations and Elevate Reputation

(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports, the most trusted name in golf has been selected by WindRiver Investments to manage golf operations at WindRiver, a lakefront and golf community situated on the shoreline of Lake Tellico in Lenoir City, Tenn., just outside of Knoxville. WindRiver features an 18-hole daily fee golf course, a marina and a growing residential community with additional amenities in development.

KemperSports will manage the WindRiver Golf Course, an 18-hole par-72 layout designed by Jack Nicklaus protégé Bob Cupp. The course spans 180 acres of the WindRiver community and features expansive fairways, contoured putting greens and scenic views of Lake Tellico. WindRiver Golf Course is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, one of the first in the state of Tennessee, and includes five sets of tees for golfers of varying skill levels.

KemperSports will implement proven best management practices and its Green to a Tee environmental stewardship program to enhance operations, course conditioning and the overall golf experience at WindRiver. The company’s award-winning customer service program called TrueService will set the foundation for the level of service that all residents and guests of WindRiver will come to expect in the community.
