The A Position 2.0: Redesigned Site, New Publisher

(Portland, Ore.)TheAPosition.com announces the launch of its fully redesigned and re-architected website.  The updated version features a more readable, streamlined look as well as improved functionality, including pages that refresh faster and more often. Articles filed by the more than 50 journalists writing for The A Position will post automatically by category boxes, and feed a rotating carousel of top stories.  Enhanced video and improved searching are among other improvements to the three-year-old site.

Executive Editor Jeff Wallach says, “Re-designing our entire business was like instituting a major swing change—chaotic during the process, but the final result will allow us to deliver our golf and travel content more easily and fluidly. Plus, we’re bringing our ancillary websites—such as the extremely popular Golf Road Warriors and TOUR on TAP to the front page so that more readers will see this great content, as well.”

Golf Media Network, the parent company of The A Position, also announces that Stu MacDonald has come on board as publisher. A native Canadian, MacDonald worked in Silicon Valley and served as Strategic VP of Sales, Business Development and Chief Marketing Officer for three successful tech firms, including World Golf Tour, where he helped create the first virtual golf championships. MacDonald is also CEO and Founder of Norlinks Digital Media, which produces and distributes digital media focusing on the golf industry. MacDonald holds a Sports Marketing Professional (SMP) designation from the Gratton School of Business at the University of Kentucky and an Executive MBA from Tulane University.

Wallach says of the appointment, “Stu brings a powerful digital marketing background, sales expertise, great industry contacts, and the energy and creativity we need to help take our media company to the next level.”
