(BROOKFIELD, Wis.) – The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) recently welcomed a new member to its ranks: Trey Kemp of Dallas. His election keeps the number of ASGCA members who practice around the world to 175.

Kemp has worked on more than 100 projects in 15 states. His golf experience includes 3 ½ years as an assistant golf professional, and he worked on the maintenance crew at Dallas National Golf Club while in graduate school.
Golf coursework in Kemp’s portfolio includes: Texas Rangers Golf Club, Arlington, Texas; Rockwood Park Golf Course, Fort Worth, Texas; Stevens Park Golf Course, Dallas; and Mustang Golf Course at Ross Rogers Golf Complex, Amarillo, Texas.
Candidates for membership in ASGCA complete a rigorous, multi-phase application process that includes peer review of representative courses, discussions with project owners and a personal interview to assess the candidate’s professional capabilities.
