Pure Silk Championship Welcomes PGA Tour Operations Manager

(WILLIAMSBURG, Va.) – Originally from Lawrenceville, Ga., Steven Wood Graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors in Sports Management. Wood began work with PGA TOUR in 2010 at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf. His work with the PGA TOUR spans 11 years and over 25 events including Web.com TOUR Championship, THE PLAYERS Championship, and the Dominion Energy Charity Classic in Richmond, VA. Steven will serve as the Director of Tournament Operations for the 2021 tournament at Kingsmill. 

Announced this month, the tournament will operate with limited spectators onsite; however, fans of the event are encouraged to play in the Wednesday Pro-Am to experience an exclusive behind the ropes experience. 

All Wednesday Pro-Am participants must undergo a COVID-19 test prior to play as administered by the LPGA.
