(Colorado Springs, Colo.) — It’s no surprise that golf has enjoyed a surge in popularity amidst the pandemic, with a record number of rounds played in 2020. The Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs is readying its two championship golf courses for another busy season, but for those tired of being squeezed out of tee times on their local course or just seeking a change of scenery, the luxury resort at the base of the Rocky Mountains is offering two Unlimited Golf packages during off-peak travel times.
The Spring Unlimited Golf Getaway includes:
- Classic accommodations for two nights (upgrade options available; suites available at 25% off of published rates)
- Unlimited golf for each person on the package
- Cart rental included on the first round of golf
- Personal locker, club storage and range balls
- Rates start at $500 per night, based on double occupancy.
- Package is available Sunday - Thursday nights from April 1-30, 2021.
The Broadmoor’s Unlimited Golf Getaway includes:
- Classic accommodations for two nights (upgrade options available; suites available at 25% off of published rates)
- Unlimited golf for each person on the package
- Cart rental included on the first round of golf
- Personal locker, club storage and range balls
- Rates start at $695 per night, based on double occupancy.
- Package is available Sunday – Wednesday nights from May 2 through October 31, 2021.
The resort is also making plans for the 100th anniversary of The Broadmoor Invitation, taking place July 25-29. Dating back to 1921, The Broadmoor Invitation continues the tradition of hosting premier amateur players in a championship tournament environment.
Invitation events include receptions, galas, and cookout luncheons, as well as programmed activities for players’ spouses/guests such as guided hikes, Italian cooking classes at the resort’s Ristorante del Lago, bowling at The Broadmoor’s private alley, and a farm-to-table picnic with wine tasting at the resort’s greenhouse and gardens. An opening night fireside chat with golf legend Hale Irwin will be another highlight. (Hale won the 1967 Broadmoor Invitation and played in both the 2008 and 2018 US Senior Opens at The Broadmoor.)
The all-inclusive price for a Player and Spouse/Guest is $4,450, including:
- Five nights' accommodations
- Four days of tournament golf plus one day of practice rounds
- Three cocktail receptions and two dinners for the player and spouse/guest
- Daily breakfast for competitors at the Golf Club
- Cookout following Round One at the Golf Club for competitors
