Lynx Golf Reports Record Sales During First Quarter of 2019

Iconic Brand Continues Momentum Under Family Ownership

(Weybridge, Surrey, UK) – Lynx Golf – the iconic equipment brand trusted by multiple major championship winners over its storied history – recorded a 35% year-over-year increase in total sales during the first quarter of 2019, continuing a growth trend that has seen the brand rapidly become one of the top selling equipment manufacturers in the U.K. and beyond.

Contributing to the brand’s success are a variety of premium club lines and an array of popular accessories. Additionally, buzz surrounding new products introduced at the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show has vaulted brand awareness among a new generation of golfers, as well as veteran players who recognize the innovation Lynx has brought to the equipment landscape for nearly 50 years.

The aforementioned new products, which will be widely available soon, are the Prowler VT Driver with Switch-Face Technology and additions to the vaunted Black Cat line of clubs. The former is a revolutionary new design concept that uses interchangeable faces to provide golfers the ability to adjust the true loft of their club. It was roundly praised by Golf Digest, GOLF, LINKS Magazine and others following its debut at the annual trade show in Orlando, FL. The updated Black Cat series includes drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons, each with unique technology to give users a performance edge.

“Over the last six years we have seen a tremendous reaction to the revitalization of the Lynx brand,” says Stephanie Zinser, Lynx Golf CFO and co-owner. “Our strong start to 2019 lays a great foundation for the year ahead, which will include more momentum in the U.S. market and further establish that the cat is back.”

Since 2013, under the leadership of Zinser and her husband and CEO, Steve Elford, Lynx has recorded double-digit annual sales increases each year.

“As we continue to restore the rich history of the Lynx brand, a new challenge arises and with that comes a need to be on the cutting edge of innovation and technology,” says Elford, CEO and co-owner. “With the exciting additions to the lineup launching soon, we expect to continue our momentum throughout the year.”

Founded in the 1970’s by John Riley Sr. and Carl Ross, Lynx Golf quickly established a large and loyal following among the game’s best players. This included legendary ambassadors who trusted the brand to help them capture victories at the 1992 Masters and 1994 US Open, among other wins.

Lynx’s renowned product lines include everything from TOUR-caliber clubs, such as the Prowler VT irons, to products geared for mid-to-high handicappers. At the professional level, the brand continues to draw talent, as its ambassadors include the legendary Dame Laura Davies and former European Tour standout, and current Sky Sports TV presenter, Nick Dougherty, as well as Lydia Hall, Becky Brewerton and Trish Johnson.
