USGA Announces Viewing Schedule for 2017 Championship Season

Fox Sports to provide more than 140 hours of live coverage across eight USGA championships

(FAR HILLS, N.J.) - FOX Sports, the domestic broadcast partner of the United States Golf Association, will air more than 140 hours of live coverage across eight 2017 USGA championships, including more than 45 hours on FOX, FS1 and FOX Deportes and continuous live streaming on FOX Sports Go from the 117th U.S. Open at Erin Hills, in Erin, Wis. FOX Sports will also provide live coverage from the U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Senior Open, four USGA amateur championships and the 46th Walker Cup Match.

Additionally, the USGA will provide live streaming from the U.S. Open on its digital platforms – usopen.com and the U.S. Open app, as well as live streaming of the U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur on usga.org. The USGA’s global digital coverage begins with exclusive live action on three channels – two featured groups channels and a featured holes channel – on usopen.com and the U.S. Open app from 8:30-11 a.m. EDT during the first and second rounds of the U.S. Open (June 15-16). The USGA will also broadcast this year’s U.S. Open to more than 190 countries and territories on six continents through its international broadcast partners.

U.S. Open coverage begins with the Sectional Qualifying Show on FS1, which will air at midnight EDT on Tuesday, June 6, following the conclusion of domestic sectional qualifying on Monday, June 5. Live championship coverage will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 9 when tee times and groupings are announced on FS1’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd, featuring FOX Sports lead golf analyst Paul Azinger. FS1 will broadcast “Drive to the U.S. Open” from 10-11 p.m. on Monday, June 12 and “Wednesday at the U.S. Open” on June 14 from 9:30 a.m.-noon. "Undisputed at the U.S. Open" will air from Erin Hills on Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16, each day from 9-9:30 a.m.

The first and second rounds of the U.S. Open on June 15-16 will air on FS1 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. EDT, followed by coverage on FOX from 6-9 p.m. EDT each day. FOX will provide coverage of the third round on Saturday, June 17, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. EDT and of the fourth round on Sunday, June 18, from 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. EDT. FOX Deportes will also televise the third and fourth rounds in Spanish from 5-8 p.m. EDT on June 17 and 5:30-8:30 p.m. EDT on June 18. If necessary, an 18-hole playoff will be contested on Monday, June 19, starting at noon EDT, and FOX will provide coverage through the playoff’s completion. For the third consecutive year, Joe Buck will serve as the play-by-play announcer. Azinger and analyst Brad Faxon will anchor the 18th-hole tower throughout the championship.

The first two rounds of the 72nd U.S. Women’s Open at Trump National Golf Club, in Bedminster, N.J., will be televised on FS1 from 2-7 p.m. EDT on July 13-14. FOX will air the third and fourth rounds on July 15-16 from 2-7 p.m. EDT.

The first and second rounds of the 38th U.S. Senior Open at Salem Country Club, in Peabody, Mass., will air on FS1 on June 29-30 from 2-7 p.m. EDT. FOX will broadcast the third and fourth rounds on July 1-2 from 1-6 p.m. EDT.

FOX and FS1 will cover the 117th U.S. Amateur Championship at The Riviera Country Club, in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Bel-Air Country Club, in Los Angeles, Calif. FS1 will provide coverage of the match-play rounds at Riviera, starting with the first round on Aug. 16 from 5-8 p.m. EDT, followed by second- and third-round matches on Aug. 17 and quarterfinal matches on Aug. 18, each day from 6-9 p.m. EDT. FOX will air the semifinal matches on Aug. 19 from noon-3 p.m. EDT, and the 36-hole championship match on Aug. 20, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. EDT.

Coverage of the 117th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship at San Diego Country Club, in Chula Vista, Calif., will air on FS1, beginning with the first round of match play on Aug. 9 and continuing through the quarterfinal matches on Aug. 11 from 6-9 p.m. EDT each day. The semifinal matches on Aug. 12 will air from 7-10 p.m. EDT, while the following day’s 36-hole championship match will be televised from 4-7 p.m. EDT.

FS1 will also provide coverage of the 70th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Flint Hills National Golf Club, in Andover, Kan., the 69th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship at Boone Valley Golf Club, in Augusta, Mo., and the 46th Walker Cup Match at The Los Angeles (Calif.) Country Club.

Coverage from the U.S. Junior Amateur Round of 16 matches on July 20 will air from 3:30-5:30 p.m. EDT. FS1 will also televise semifinal matches on July 21, from 3-5 p.m. EDT, and the championship match on July 22, from 2-4 p.m. EDT. U.S. Girls’ Junior Round of 16 and semifinal coverage will air July 27 and 28, respectively, both from 3-5 p.m. each day. The championship match on July 29 will be broadcast from 2-4 p.m. EDT. The 2017 schedule will conclude with the Walker Cup Match, a biennial competition between amateur teams from the United States and Great Britain and Ireland, on Sept. 9-10. First-day coverage will be shown from noon-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. EDT. The Walker Cup’s second day will air from noon-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. EDT.
