Jordan Spieth Tees Up Get Out & Play Message in New Campaign

PGA TOUR Superstore Launches Multi-Faceted Campaign and Social Sweepstakes with Under Armour

(ATLANTA, GA) – Golf season is in full swing so Jordan Spieth, one of the best golfers in the world and a Major Champion, is encouraging golfers to “Get Out There” as part of a multi-faceted campaign including a television spot and social media sweepstakes with PGA TOUR Superstore and Under Armour.

“Golfers aren’t athletes?” Spieth wryly asks in a new television spot which began airing last week. “Everyone is looking for an edge … the guy getting custom fit, the guy trying the latest gear. It doesn’t matter if you’re a hacker or pro … just get out there and play …” says Spieth, an Under Armour athlete, who, while intently shopping and practicing his game at a PGA TOUR Superstore, invites golfers of all abilities to tee it up.

PGA TOUR Superstore is also announcing a sweepstakes as part of the nationwide campaign, giving consumers the chance to meet Jordan Spieth and win a host of prizes over a six-week period including a trip for two to the AT&T Byron Nelson and a head-to-toe Under Armour prize pack. Contestants enter by registering online (http://www.pgatoursuperstore.com/meet-jordan) and/or sharing the contest via tweet with their friends.

“This campaign portrays golf in a fun and inspiring way with one of the best golfers on the planet,” said PGA TOUR Superstore Chief Marketing Officer Matt Corey. “Jordan represents a new generation of golfers and yet he appeals to golfers of all generations because he exemplifies sportsmanship, humor, passion and respect for the game.  He affirms our brand’s message about enjoying the golf experience. It’s a fun game and everyone wants to play better, even Jordan.”

In a series of short videos that will be released via PGA TOUR Superstore social handles, Spieth spends time at PGA TOUR Superstore to get ready for the spring golf season.  In one such video called “Line”, Spieth is waiting in line at a PGA TOUR Superstore and reviews his shopping list, “all right I got custom fit, got some new shirts, new shoes, a new wedge, a hat…oh, balls, (he forgot golf balls). I’ll be right back” he tells the woman standing in line, as he methodically places a ball mark on the hardwood floor to hold his place in line.

In another social media video, “Jordan Speaks,” Spieth is shown working his game at PGA TOUR Superstore’s interactive offerings. First, he practices iron shots in a golf simulator encouraging the ball to go, go, go, followed by cutaways of his real on-course experiences. Spieth talks to himself through putting practice and a shoe fitting, just as he is known to talk to his ball during PGA TOUR events.

The campaign will run through the end of April and will include TV, video, digital marketing, social media and in-store messaging in all PGA TOUR Superstores nationwide.
