Arccos Wins Golf Digest 2017 Editors’ Choice Award for Second-Straight Year

(STAMFORD, CT) – Arccos, the world’s leading provider of automatic on-course data capture and advanced analytics for golfers, announces its Arccos 360 system won a Golf Digest 2017 Editors’ Choice Award in the category of “Best Gear and Gadgets” as published in the magazine’s May issue.

This is the second consecutive year Arccos has received the prestigious honor, further validating its unmatched ability to help golfers play better and have more fun by tracking and analyzing their on-course performance. Arccos 360 ($249.99) features 14 ultralight sensors – each 50% smaller than the first-generation Arccos system – that attach to a club grip and communicate with a free app for iOS and Android devices.

The system automatically records every shot a golfer takes and analyzes the data in real time to enhance on-course decision-making. It seamlessly delivers information on distances hit, club averages, driving accuracy, greens in regulation, sand saves, putts and more. Unlike competing products, it requires no tagging, tapping or other annoying disruptions to a player’s routine. The Arccos app also provides GPS distances to every point on more than 40,000 courses.

“Arccos helps golfers leverage the power of data to make smarter decisions about what to do on the course and when you practice,” says Sal Syed, CEO and Co-Founder of Arccos. “By moving beyond guesswork, our average user lowers their handicap 36 times faster than the average golfer with a USGA handicap.”

In addition to Arccos 360, recent company announcements include:
Microsoft – Named Arccos’ Official Cloud Partner in an initiative combining Arccos’ industry-leading performance tracking system and data set of more than 60 million golf shots with the power of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and Azure Machine Learning, part of Microsoft Cortana Intelligence. The companies will develop technologies that use advanced analytics to deliver insights which will help golfers of all skill levels play smarter and shoot lower scores.

Arccos Course Analyzer – The first phase of the collaboration with Microsoft, the Arccos Course Analyzer is golf’s first Artificial Intelligence platform. It layers an Arccos user’s data on top of millions of data points for more than 40,000 golf courses mapped in the Arccos system. It then harnesses Microsoft’s Azure cloud-computing services and machine learning capabilities to provide personalized recommendations for optimal strategies on nearly every golf hole in the world. The platform is scheduled to launch in May 2017.

COBRA CONNECT Powered by Arccos – As of November 2016, every Cobra Golf driver features an Arccos sensor embedded in the grip. The COBRA CONNECT range allows players to automatically track their driving distance and accuracy stats, while also participate in the King of the Hole virtual long drive competition. Applicable models include the COBRA KING F7, KING F7+ and KING LTD Black models.

Also part of Arccos’ portfolio of innovative products is Arccos Driver ($49.99), a performance tracking and live competition system that delivers real-time data for tee shot distances, fairways hit and more. The single-sensor automatically detects each drive, then uses a player’s smart phone to record second shot position. Other features include personalized challenges based on performance history as well as daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards.
