New ESPN Service Airs Live PGA TOUR Action from Charlotte Thursday, Friday
(RELEASE) - Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy headline feature group coverage from the Wells Fargo Championship airing Thursday morning on ESPN+, the first-ever multi-sport, direct-to-consumer premium subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International group, in partnership with ESPN.
McIlroy, Paul Casey and James Hahn will tee off at 7:30 a.m. ET on Thursday at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C., and fans can follow their full round on ESPN+. Mickelson, Jason Day and Daniel Berger also will be featured with their round beginning at 7:40 a.m.
On both Thursday and Friday, ESPN+ viewers also will be able to watch coverage from two Featured Holes beginning at 3 p.m. ET – the Par 4 14th hole and the Par 3 No. 17.
ESPN+ offers golf fans 50 days of coverage from 20 PGA TOUR events, including the RBC Heritage, THE PLAYERS Championship, the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, the FedExCup Playoffs and more.
