Peggy Kirk Bell Golf Tour Launches Partnership with Storie Apparel

Storie Apparel joins the LPGA Foundation and LPGA-USGA Girls Golf as a “PKBGT Premier Sponsor”

(GREENSBORO, NC.) — Much like the Peggy Kirk Bell Golf Tour (PKBGT), Storie Apparel was founded by avid supporters of junior girls’ golf who saw a need in the marketplace they could fill by creating a high-quality product. Which is why the new partnership between the two makes sense all around.

Storie Apparel has become a “PKBGT Premier Sponsor” of the PKBGT, joining the LPGA Foundation and LPGA-USGA Girls Golf.

“We are excited for Storie Apparel to join the PKBGT ‘Let’s Play’ Campaign to establish 1,000 ‘girls’ only’ tournaments in the next 10 years based on our multi-level competitive framework which cultivates, enhances and recognizes girls’ successes in the game,” said PKBGT Director Mike Parker. “We are honored to work together to create more on-course opportunities for the girls and highlight their performances each season.”

Through the new partnership, Storie Apparel becomes the “Official Youth Apparel Provider of the PKBGT,” with all youth girls receiving a logo Storie golf shirt with their PKBGT membership. In addition, the regional point’s rankings system will be named the “Storie Apparel Order of Merit Standings.”

The Storie Apparel Order of Merit races will be featured in all of the current PKBGT regional series — North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia & Middle Atlantic. Through the season-long Storie Apparel Order of Merit Standings, players will vie to win the points standings title in each division of play. Each champion will be recognized at the PKBGT Inspire.Dream.Achieve. Banquet in November.

Select high finishers in the Storie Apparel Order of Merit Prep Series races will earn a “Storie Apparel Exemption” into the PKBGT Invitational, the feature event on the PKBGT schedule, one of the Top 50 junior girls events in the country.

“Two of our core objectives include serving the girls golf community and growing the game of golf through support of junior golf organizations,” said Storie Apparel co-founder Christina Francis. “Partnering with PKBGT, the largest girls-only tour in the U.S., helps us support both these objectives and expands our commitment to junior girls golf.”

“The PKB Girls Tour is all about giving opportunities for girls to compete at a high level and further their career.  The partnership with Storie Apparel is a perfect fit because Storie desires every girl golfer to feel comfortable and confident while pursuing her dreams on the course.  I'm excited and encouraged with the direction of girls golf because of this partnership.  I can't wait to watch all of these girls’ 'stories' unfold.” said Storie Brand Ambassador Angela Jerman-Ormsby.

“With the PKBGT’s expansion to more than 65 tournaments and the introduction of the PKBGT 9-hole Discovery Series for 9-12 year old girls, partnering with the Storie Apparel brand to provide the highest quality, performance apparel is a great benefit to the PKBGT member,” said Parker. “Finding quality, performance girl’s golf clothing can be a challenge for families and with Storie Apparel, the PKBGT has a partner to best serve our member’s needs.”
