(JUPITER, FL) - JumboMax Grips announced that Tour Staff Professional, Bryson DeChambeau, finished T-2nd on the PGA TOUR at the Puerto Rico Open this past weekend.
DeChambeau has been playing JumboMax Grips for more than five years now and he's as well known for his accomplishments on the golf course as he is for his unorthodox set of irons that are all the same length. DeChambeau plays with the new Tour Series Grips from JumboMax that he personally helped develop.
DeChambeau fired rounds of 68, 65, 70 and 67 to finish at 18 under par, just two strokes off the lead. He ran off four straight birdies during Friday's round and was tied for the lead going into the weekend. His T-2nd Place Finish earned him a paycheck for $224,000.00 and 117 FedEx Cup Points.
"We'd like to congratulate Bryson on his runner-up finish in Puerto Rico," said John Mazzanoble, President of JumboMax Grips. "His talent and determination are unlike anything we've seen on the PGA TOUR in quite a while. When he's zeroed in on his game, like he was this past weekend, he's a very exciting player to watch. We're proud to be a small part of his success and can't wait to see what the rest of this season brings for him."
