(PHILADELPHIA, Pa.) - The GolfTalk Live radio show - voted the No. 1 Golf Radio Show in America three times in the last six years - continues to grow. And this time it is moving north.
The weekly radio show, hosted by Tony Leodora on the 50,000-watt flagship station WNTP 990-AM in Philadelphia, has added two new affiliate stations. ESPN 1230-AM and ESPN 1320-AM will begin broadcasting GolfTalk Live every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. The stations cover Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley, as well as portions of Central New Jersey and the Pocono Mountains.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to partner with stations that have established audiences and great reputations in the Lehigh Valley," said Leodora. "That is a golf-crazy area and we are very excited about the chance to connect with their listeners."
In addition to the weekly show, Leodora will team with the personalities on the two ESPN stations for special reports and interviews throughout the year. Also, he will rely on the ESPN on-air people, especially Bob Holder of "Upon Further Review," for golf news from the Lehigh Valley and commentary on regional and national stories.
"We saw this as a great way to expand our sports coverage," said Tom Fallon, program director at the Lehigh Valley ESPN stations. "GolfTalk Live has a national reputation and Tony interviews some of the biggest names in golf. Every week is an exciting new show."
GolfTalk Live airs 52 weeks a year from 7 to 8 a.m. each Saturday. In addition flagship station WNTP 990-AM in Philadelphia and the new Lehigh Valley affiliates, the show also airs from 3 to 4 p.m. on WOND 1400-AM in South Jersey and on The Golf Director Network across the country and around the world.
