Tiger Wood Foundation, Full Swing Golf Simulators Closest-to-the-Pin Contest Going Strong

(SAN DIEGO, CA) - The Closest to the Pin Challenge Presented by Full Swing Golf Simulators, in partnership with The Tiger Woods Foundation, is in its final week of competition before the weekly winners' playoff. The contest kicked off at the Tiger Woods Invitational at Pebble Beach four weeks ago and runs though Nov. 24.

Weekly winners, in order, were Roger Ditto of USA (5.8' from the pin), Mischa Peter (1.5') of Switzerland, Shane Weber of USA (2.7'), and Chris Chittick of Canada (1.02').

"The stage is set for an exciting final week and sudden-death playoff," says Chad Coleman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Full Swing Golf. "Waves of players around the globe have been seeking out our commercial golf centers since news of the five-week event hit the wire, and our residential customers have enjoyed the opportunity to compete and win as well."

All donations go directly to The Tiger Woods Foundation and its charities. "We're proud to partner with the Foundation, and to support its cause through this innovative contest," says Coleman.

Closest to the Pin Challenge contestants are competing for the grand prize, which is an all-expenses paid VIP Experience with a PGA Tour pro at the 2013 Northwestern Mutual World Challenge. For $5, they hit three balls at a realistic simulation of the 144-yard, par-3 7th hole at Pebble Beach. The wind is set to strong, the pin located in a difficult-to-reach position. More Challenge prizes are also being given to players who hit the green or score a hole-in-one.

Thus far, the top 10 shots closest to the hole each week have advanced to the playoffs, which run Nov. 18 - Nov. 24.

The Grand Prize VIP Experience includes two flights to the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge in Thousand Oaks, Calif., two guests to walk inside the ropes with a select Tour pro pairing during Sunday's final round (Dec. 8, 2013), hospitality in the Clubhouse, photo opportunity with pro and an autographed gift item; two tickets to the Executive Club and deluxe hospitality on Dec. 7, two invitations to the exclusive VIP Sponsor Party at Bogie's Restaurant on Dec. 7, and one room at a top area hotel for two nights on Dec. 6 and 7. The package is valued at $7,000.

Contestants don't need to be at the Tiger Woods Invitational to compete. The Challenge will run at many Full Swing Golf simulators around the world - visit www.fullswinggolf.com/tiger for participating locations.
