Bettinardi Putter Wins Charles Schwab Cup by 6 Strokes in the Champions Tour Final Event of the Year

(Tinley Park, IL) - BETTINARDI GOLF, maker of the world’s finest milled putter, claimed their 1st ever Champions Tour victory with a 6 stroke win at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California. On Sunday, the winner claimed his 9th victory on the Champions Tour, and first since the Senior British Open of July 2012. The champion used a Bettinardi Tour Prototype and led the field in birdies while his hot putter placed him 3rd in putts per green in regulation at 1.69.

“Bettinardi Golf is extremely proud to win our 4th professional event of 2013, and 1st ever Champions Tour victory”, said Robert Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf. Robert also states “This is a tremendous win, it will continue to give Bettinardi Golf and the champion strong momentum into the 2014 golf season.”

The Bettinardi Tour Prototype was a custom putter made for the winner. It is crafted from Double-Aged Stainless Steel (DASS), is 43.5 inches in length and weighs 400 grams. “The winner’s success around the greens at the Charles Schwab Cup can be credited to the design and engineering that went into making this putter. We made exactly what the winner wanted and it showed with his excellent putting” added Bettinardi.
