Popular Fun and Motivational Entertainment for Everyone
(Jupiter, Florida) — Dennis Walters has been inspiring and entertaining audiences around the world with his wonderful one-hour display of precision and trick golf shots since his first show in 1977. Dennis, an aspiring PGA TOUR professional, was paralyzed from the waist down as the result of a golf cart accident in 1974. He turned misfortune into an illustrious career of motivating others through his evergreen Dennis Walters Golf Show, which begins its 38th season on February 12th
in Palm City, Florida.
Dennis performed 90 shows in 2014, and he and his enthusiastic and energetic canine sidekick, Mr. Bucky, already have some 50 events booked this year. Typically, Dennis and Mr. Bucky will crisscross the U.S. several times to entertain both golfers and non-golfers at PGA TOUR, LPGA, Champions Tour and Web.com Tour tournaments, charity events, First Tee and corporate gatherings. In all, Dennis has logged more than 3,000 appearances and he expects to add a total of 100 shows in 2015.
“I’m always excited to launch a new edition of my show and 2015 promises to be another record-breaking year of performances,” said Dennis. “While I enjoy entertaining crowds with my golf shot-making abilities, my show has a greater meaning and that is about living your dream. To me a real dream is having a positive thought in your head and in your heart and doing whatever it takes to make that dream come true. And if you have a dream that doesn’t work out, like I did, never stop dreaming and get yourself a new dream.”
In 2008, Dennis received the PGA of America’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award. He also is one of only 12 honorary lifetime members of the PGA. Since 2009, Dennis has served as a national ambassador and spokesperson for The First Tee.
In addition to his popular shows, Dennis is a tremendous motivational speaker and he’s combined his golf talents with an inspirational message that resonates with a variety of audiences, including corporate meetings. He has championed the cause of golf as both a physical and mental tool for rehabilitation, and he’s offered hope and encouragement to thousands of disabled veterans and individuals.
