The Traveling Golfer at Shingle Creek

Orlando's Rosen Shingle Creek Featured on February Traveling Golfer Show

(PHILADELPHIA, Pa.) - Ultimate convenience of location, warm and sunny weather, a great golf course and a world-class hotel. All of those factors make Rosen Shingle Creek one of the highlights of any trip to the Orlando area. And that's exactly the story the award-winning Traveling Golfer television show portrays in its February episode.

Rosen Shingle Creek - close to the Orange County Convention Center, DisneyWorld, Universal Studios and SeaWorld - is spotlighted in the February episode of the award-winning Traveling Golfer television show.

This month's show highlights every facet of the luxurious hotel/conference center/ golf course, located on the western end of the Greater Orlando area. Whether Rosen Shingle Creek is the destination of the business traveler or the vacationer, it is a one-stop resort that insists on high quality and service.

"My first look at Rosen Shingle Creek took place immediately after the golf course opened in 2003," reports Traveling Golfer host Tony Leodora. "I was impressed by David Harman's original design, but I am even more impressed at how the course has matured over the years. It keeps getting better. The conditioning of the course rivals anything in the Orlando area."

The 14-story hotel, which opened three years after the golf course, is situated on 240 acres and contains 1,500 guest rooms. There are 12 separate dining venues in the hotel, which has a AAA Four Diamond rating. The conference center, adjacent to the hotel, has 490,000 square feet of meeting space.

"Our mission is to provide a one-stop destination for either the business traveler or the vacationer," says Shingle Creek Director of Golf Dave Scott. "Once they get here, we want to greet them with first-class service that meets or exceeds our first-class accommodations and amenities."

The episode from Rosen Shingle Creek begins airing February 1 and runs throughout the month on The Traveling Golfer Network ... including The Golf Director Network (see full list of sites on www.travelinggolfervideo.com). It also will air on Monday, February 9 as part of the Press Box television show in Myrtle Beach, 5 to 7 p.m. on HTC Ch. 4, and as part of the Inside Golf television show on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and Comcast SportsNet in Baltimore/Washington at the end of February.

Responding to golfers' never-ending demands to learn more about interesting golf courses and golf resorts across the country and around the world, well-traveled host Tony Leodora created the Traveling Golfer so he could take viewers on video golf trips to some of the most exciting golf locations. The show won a first place award for golf television broadcasts in the prestigious International Network of Golf Media Awards, presented at the PGA Merchandise Show in January.

The Traveling Golfer appears as a series of monthly shows hosted by Leodora, who has 15 years of experience in televised golf shows. The featured destination stays on the website for one month, before being replaced by a new show. The old shows are archived for continued viewing on the home website, www.travelinggolfervideo.com.

A network of golf websites, of all sizes, has been created to host the show. The show has its own website -- www.travelinggolfervideo.com. The network of additional websites includes www.golftalklive.net, the website of the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show that also is hosted by Leodora.  Affiliate websites that also air the show are www.thegolfdirector.com, www.myphillygolf.com, www.sportsnetwork.com, www.louguzzi.com, www.yetigolf.net, www.golfbuckscounty.com, www.phillygolffiles.com, www.playaroundgolf.net, www.awaywegogolf.com, mynegm.com, www.golfxpress72.com, www.golfingmagli.com and americangolfer.blogspot.com.
