Marriott Golf Introduces 'College Links'

New Student Discount Program Provides College Students with Great Golf Opportunities that Fit their Budget

(ORLANDO, Fla.) - While the golf industry keeps searching for ways to get more people playing the game, Marriott Golf continues to drive golfers onto the course. On the heels of its successful Kids Golf-4-Free youth program and the Fairways-Fore-FREEdom military golf program, Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators and the golf management organization of Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR), announced the “College Links” Program.

Now, active college students nationwide can play Marriott’s portfolio of managed golf courses for special pricing designed to fit the tight budgets of college students who enjoy the game. As part of the “College Links” Program, from September 1, 2014, to June 1, 2015, student golfers presenting a valid college ID can take advantage of discounted twilight green fees/carts, ranging from just $29 - $69, while receiving a free twilight replay certificate for another day. The free replay certificates will be valid until September 1, 2015. The program is available after 3 p.m. any day of the week at participating Marriott Golf courses, and all tee times can be made up to three days in advance.

“College students are always at work and play with their friends and/or families, and so many enjoy the game of golf,” said James Keane, Senior Director of Operations, Marriott Golf. “Now, with our College Links program, we are making our portfolio of championship and resort golf courses more accessible to this important group of golfers.”

Keane adds, “The College Links program also provides a healthy, fun recreation alternative for college students, not to mention a terrific stress reliever to the daily grind of classwork that consumes many students during each school year.”
