Bud Cauley's Victory at the Hotel Fitness Championship Highlights 6-win Week for Titleist

(RELEASE) - With two eagles, 21 birdies, 44 pars and only five bogeys over the course of four rounds at the Hotel Fitness Championship, Titleist Brand Ambassador Bud Cauley put on an impressive display of golf to secure his first career win as a professional.

Bud’s final round 7-under-par 65, featuring seven birdies and no bogeys, was the exclamation mark to a week of solid play and capped off an exciting come from behind win.

"I knew I had to get off to a quick start and get a few of those (birdies) to get up with those guys and get near the lead … I knew a quick start was huge," said Cauley during his post-round interview.
"It was fun to be out there on a Sunday, swinging well and making putts – I’m just excited to go play next week.”

Bud’s performance this week highlighted the importance of a complete game and being able to rely on his golf ball from tee to green. Trusting his Pro V1x golf ball and bag full of Titleist equipment, Bud ranked in the Top-20 for the week in Putts/GIR (T-14), Greens in Regulation (T-19) and Driving Distance (15).

“Win’s like this are a great example of why we focus on the complete game when fitting golfers to their golf balls,” said Titleist Golf Ball Fitting Manager Mike Rich.

“We’re always looking at total game performance and to optimize launch conditions throughout the bag for golfers. Our goal is to help players find the right combination short game control and long game distance that will result in lower scores.

The win also secures Bud’s status on the PGA Tour for the 2014 – 2015 season.
