(Foster City, California) – Loudmouth Golf, world leader in bold and bright golf and lifestyle apparel, is proudly sponsoring the 5th Annual Bunkers in Baghdad Open Charity Golf Tournament taking place August 22 at The Links at Ivy Ridge in Akron, NY. Loudmouth will be donating clothing of several hundred items including pants, shorts, shirts and accessories for both men and women.
“Loudmouth Golf has been partnering with Bunkers in Baghdad for several years and it’s an organization we feel strongly about supporting,” says Loudmouth Founder, Woody! “If Loudmouth can put a smile on the faces of the soldiers and wounded warriors who receive our clothing, that’s all the thanks we need.”
“It was great to see the generosity and kindness come from the top down,” says Bunkers in Baghdad Founder and President, Joe Hanna. “The pants and shirts that we have received from Loudmouth Golf over the years are a huge hit with our soldiers — often a bright and cheerful contrast to their surroundings. They provide a release from the stress and everyday grind of being away from their families.”
The 5th Annual Bunkers in Baghdad Open is expecting more than 100 active-duty military members, wounded warriors and veterans to play in the tournament. As its biggest event of the year, the tournament will raise funds to help the organization continue its mission of supporting troops overseas.
Bunkers in Baghdad is a not-for-profit charity that collects and sends new and used golf balls, clubs and equipment to US troops currently deployed in Afghanistan and 29 other countries around the world, as well as wounded warriors in all 50 US states. On Memorial Day this year, Bunkers in Baghdad announced it reached the milestone of sending 5 million golf balls and more than 200,000 golf clubs to aid in recreation and rehabilitation from injuries.
