Classic Layout a Favorite Among Palm Beach County Residents
(BOYNTON BEACH, FL) – Cypress Creek Country Club, 20 minutes south of West Palm Beach, FL, has selected Billy Casper Golf – the largest domestic owner-operator of golf courses, country clubs and resorts – to manage the semi-private club celebrating its 50th anniversary.
BCG is currently overseeing course and property maintenance, and beginning October will direct all facets of the Cypress Creek operation, including staffing and training, clubhouse activities, merchandising, golf instruction, marketing and public relations, special events and financial management.
“Billy Casper Golf’s success with upscale properties is extraordinary,” says Bill Marcacci, Owner of True Shot, LLC and Cypress Creek. “The company’s attention to detail, personal service, turf management practices, purchasing power and marketing strength will benefit members, guests and the business operation itself.”
“Cypress Creek Country Club has all the makings of a special golf and social club,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. “Working with the Boynton Beach community, Billy Casper Golf is excited to enhance the club environment and solidify it among the area’s best.”
Cypress Creek’s critically-acclaimed, par-72, 6,531-yard golf course features wide fairways and tropical landscapes rife with wildlife. Gentle mounding, fast and true greens, bunkers and five sets of tees provide enjoyable experiences for golfers of all skill levels.
Opened in 1964, the course was designed by renowned architect, the late Robert von Hagge. Among his famous worldwide credits: El Conquistador in Puerto Rico, host of several Champions TOUR events; Les Bordes near Paris, ranked the No. 1 course in Europe; Royal Mougins, site of the French Open; White Witch in Montego Bay, Jamaica, ranked the No. 1 Caribbean course; Trump National Doral Miami, TPC Presancia in Sarasota, Woodlands Golf Club near Houston; and many others.
Over its 50 years, the course has been updated to modern-day standards with state-of-the-art maintenance yet still maintains almost all the classic trappings of von Hagge’s original routing and design.
Cypress Creek also boasts a beautifully manicured practice area with a driving range, sand trap, chipping and putting green. Under guidance of PGA and LPGA instructors, the Don Law Golf Academy is popular for beginner golfers to learn fundamentals and better players to sharpen their games.
The 8,000 square-foot clubhouse at Cypress Creek features a fully-stocked pro shop and the Tru Shots Bar & Grille, where members, guests and groups enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner indoors and outdoors.
Open to the public, daily fee rates for Cypress Creek range from $25 to $65, and BCG plans to launch new rewards and loyalty cards for local residents.
Annual golf memberships are popular and a new, all-inclusive membership includes pre-paid greens fees, seven-day advance tee times and USGA handicap. Optional amenities – golf bag storage, men’s and ladies’ lockers and practice range balls – are also available.
