The South Carolina Board of Directors of the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) awarded the prestigious statewide accolade to the George Fazio Course, which will now compete in the next tier at the national level. The win follows the “Chapter Course of the Year” award, voted by the Lowcountry Golf Course Owners Association.
The NGCOA criteria includes: exceptional quality of the course; exceptional quality of management; outstanding contribution to the community; and significant contribution to the game. The honor completes a trifecta for Palmetto Dunes, as all three of the resort’s golf courses have been named South Carolina’s Course of the Year.
