PGA TOUR Superstore Signs Lease to Open First Store in Houston at Woodlands

Signals Ongoing Expansion with More New Stores Planned in 2017

(ATLANTA, GA) – PGA TOUR Superstore will usher in a new experience for golfers and tennis players with the lease signing of its first interactive retail store in Houston, a 45,500 square foot space at the Woodlands Shopping Center in the former Sports Authority location at 19075 Interstate 45 N.

As the anchor tenant at the Woodlands, PGA TOUR Superstore is expected to open this fall and will be staffed with PGA of America teaching professionals and have up to 14 state-of-the-art swing simulators and hitting bays, and an expansive putting green along with an in-house club making and repair facility to provide a unique, interactive experience to golf enthusiasts of all levels.

“Houston represents a premier market for our expansion and the Woodlands is an ideal location to introduce what we believe is the best experience in golf retail,” said PGA TOUR Superstore President and CEO Dick Sullivan. “We are coming off of a record-breaking grand opening in Minnetonka, MN, and we know that our focus on experiential retail with huge assortments and passionate people will continue to allow us to grow. We are redefining golf retail, and we are being opportunistic about selecting key new locations around the country.”

In addition to the Woodlands, PGA TOUR Superstore recently took over another Sports Authority location in Glendale, Arizona which will open in 2017, along with other new stores in South Carolina and Florida also slated for next year.

“Our golf retail experiential model serves golfers of all abilities from those just beginning to learn the game to avid low-handicappers,” added Sullivan. “We couldn’t be more bullish about our future and we will continue to focus on inspiring our customers to love the game as much as we do.”
