(BONITA, CA) – Knuth Golf and Golf Smarter are teaming to give one lucky listener of the Golf Smarter weekly podcast a free, award-winning Knuth High Heat driver.
Golf Smarter, created and hosted by Fred Greene, is the highest rated, longest running golf podcast in both iTunes and Google. Knuth Golf has taken the golf industry by storm, first with the launch of the High Heat driver in 2015, then by the introduction of the High Heat 3-wood and hybrid earlier this year.
Former USGA Senior Director Dean Knuth, who was recently interviewed by Greene on the Golf Smarter show, designed the High Heat family of metalwoods.
“Dean’s impressive engineering background, his history with the USGA, and his vast knowledge of club design limits all come together in his High Heat clubs that are exactly as advertised,” said Greene. “It’s as if Dean designed these clubs specifically for the global Golf Smarter audience of golfers who love hearing about great products that aren’t supported by huge ad budgets. The lower and deep center of gravity in the driver, 3-wood and hybrid help amateurs hit longer, more accurate shots, regardless of their skill level. These are amazing clubs.”
Those claims are backed up in tests by Golf Laboratories, the world’s recognized leading robot testing company, which showed the High Heat driver to be longer, straighter and more forgiving than the major brands. Sports Illustrated Golf Writer Gary Van Sickle wrote that High Heat was “the most significant technological innovation in golf equipment, and a game changer for amateur golfers … with advantages compared to major brands” when it was launched at the PGA Merchandise Show in 2015.
The High Heat driver won the prestigious ING Industry Honors award for Product Ingenuity this year, as voted upon the members of the 26-year-old International Network of Golf, a non-profit, media-based networking organization.
Knuth Golf launched its 3-wood and hybrid at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show, with its titanium cup face instead of the traditional steel faces like the major brands. Once again the media and players reviews were extremely positive, with comments like “Incredibly easy to hit” and “hot-faced.” Like the High Heat driver, several media named the metalwoods the “Best” of their breed.
Knuth, who created the Slope system used in USGA handicapping, was quick to praise Greene and his Golf Smarter podcast.
“I found Fred to be a thorough, well-informed interviewer,” said Knuth. “It is easy to understand how his show has been so well received over the years.”
