(Napa, Calif.) – Preparing for its return to Napa Valley’s Silverado Resort and Spa this October 12-18, 2015, the Frys.com Open has renewed its culinary partnership with Thomas Keller Restaurant Group (TKRG). Chef Thomas Keller and his team will host “Thomas Keller’s Drive-In: Cuisine by the Green” on-site during this year’s season-opening PGA TOUR tournament. This exclusive culinary experience will feature guest-favorites from Ad Hoc + Addendum and Bouchon Bakery including Ad Hoc + Addendum’s Lobster Roll and Buttermilk Fried Chicken Buckets, as well as Bouchon Bakery’s Bacon Cheddar Scone, Croissants, Blueberry Muffins and Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
“To have a first-class PGA TOUR tournament in your backyard is very exciting, but to have our casual restaurants – Ad Hoc + Addendum and Bouchon Bakery – be a part of it is truly special,” said Chef Keller, chef / proprietor, TKRG. “As an avid fan of golf, a sport which embodies the same drive for excellence as our restaurant group, we’re pleased to partner with the Frys.com Open to benefit charity, including those who have been displaced by the recent fires in Northern California.”
Tournament Chairperson Kathy Kolder and Silverado Managing Director John Evans agreed that an upscale concessions opportunity will be an enhancement for fans. Guests can find “Thomas Keller’s Drive-In: Cuisine by the Green” near the 18th tee. Additionally, Bouchon Bakery pastries and coffee will be available to guests at the entrance to the tournament and Ad Hoc + Addendum lunch items will be available in the main concessions area and Patio Club.
“We are thrilled to have Chef Keller and his team continue their support as we strive to provide a Napa Valley experience for our sponsors and fans,” Kolder said. “Together we will impact charities that are working to improve the lives of others.” Among the many tournament beneficiaries are the Salvation Army of Napa, Napa Valley Food Bank and Queen of the Valley Foundation.
In addition to hosting “Thomas Keller’s Drive-In: Cuisine by the Green,” TKRG also owns and operates Ad Lib, the casual pop-up restaurant located at Silverado Resort and Spa. During the Frys.com Open, October 12-18, 2015, Ad Lib will serve dinner nightly from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and offer brunch October 15-18, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Ad Lib’s final service will commence on Monday, October 19, 2015. Prior to the official start of the professional tournament, Chef Keller is expected to play in the featured pro-am group October 14 at 1 p.m.
A gallery of approximately 50,000 is expected for the week, according to Tournament Director Jeff Sanchez. The tournament will be televised worldwide on Golf Channel from 2:00-5:00 (Pacific) Thursday through Sunday, October 15-18.
