The Links at Sunset Ridge Golf Course Under New Ownership, Management

(Marcellus, NY) - After 15 years, the ownership and management of The Links at Sunset Ridge in Marcellus, New York has changed hands and has been sold to Marcellus Alumni DJ Van Keuren and his company Van Keuren International. Mr. Van Keuren was a 1987 graduate of Marcellus High School and has roots in Marcellus since he was very young.

“I am very excited to be a part of the community again and to take what was already a great course to a whole new level over the next 5 years,” explained President and Managing Member DJ Van Keuren. “We have already started to make changes which include updating the bar & grill, the banquet facilities, providing online tee sheets as well as upgrades to the golf course. Our goal is to be the best golf course in Central New York within the next 5 years.”

Sunset Ridge and its core management team have developed their mission statement to be: “To provide the best golfing experience and environment in Central New York.” In order for this to happen, it will require outstanding customer service, top playing conditions, and an experience that will make golfers want to come back again and again.

“I am very excited about this upcoming season,” says DJ. “The main reason is because our mission statement was developed by our core senior management team, and not by me, the ones who will be handling the running of the day to day operations.”

Van Keuren believes that Central New York has a place for a public course that has the feel and service of a private course, but at public rates.

With the season approaching fast, Sunset Ridge is preparing for a great season while moving towards their mission of being the best golf course in Central New York.

“At Sunset Ridge we are excited about the future and our plans,” concluded Van Keuren. "We invite anyone interested to come out to Sunset Ridge in Marcellus and take a look at the changes we are making."
