Dairy Creek Hosts 5th Annual Symposium on Affordable Golf

Scheduled for March 31 and April 1 in San Luis Obispo, California

The Fifth Annual Symposium on Affordable Golf will be held at the Dairy Creek Golf Course in San Luis Obispo, California March 31 and April 1.  Because this year's Symposium on Affordable Golf will be held for the first time in California, topics will include a mix of California-related topics and the number one issue there - water.

Come share ideas with speakers Mr. Dick Rugge, Former Technical Director of The USGA, Tim Moraghan, Bruce Williams, Ted Horton, and Executive Director of the GCSAA, Mr. Rhett Evans. Water topics include Brown is the New Green? Firm and Fast? or is it Something Else?, The Folly of Replicating Tournament Conditions, and a case study of the University of New Mexico golf course approach to irrigation.

This year, the SOAG will serve as the Sectional Meeting for the Northern California PGA Section as well as the Bi-Annual Meeting for the Central California Golf Course Superintendents Association.  As in past years, Members of the PGA, LPGA and of the GCSAA will earn Continuing Education Credits for attending the Symposium.  We want to thank the ASGCA and the California Golf Course Owners Association for their support of the Symposium.

What makes the Symposium different from other industry conferences is that the golfer is an integral part of the discussion.  Everything we discuss at the SOAG has a direct line to the ones we all in the industry serve the most - the golfer.  As in years past, the Symposium on Affordable Golf is free to attend for all golfers and is not a success unless the golfer is an integral part of our discussions.

Register now to be a part of this event as attendance is limited. Visit www.symposiumonaffordablegolf.com to register now. Call 910-255-3111 with any questions.  Also, if you haven't already, take a moment to take our survey, The Golf Experience - Your Way. So far, over 800 respondents have shared their thoughts on the game of golf.
