SCORTM Golf Recognized by 2013 Golf Digest Hot List

(Victoria, TX) – SCOR Golf announced that its innovative SCOR4161 wedges and short irons are once again included in the prestigious Golf Digest Hot List for 2013. The Hot List is the annual process that arrives at the most comprehensive ranking of the best new clubs in golf. The SCOR4161 line of scoring clubs won a silver award in the wedges category with four stars in “performance,” “look/sound/feel” and “innovation” ratings.

“We are honored by Golf Digest’s recognition as a leader in the scoring club category for the second year in a row,” said Terry Koehler, President of SCOR Golf. “The judging panel for the Hot List includes some of the industry‟s leading experts as well as a representation of the 'everyman' golfer. For SCOR Golf to be recognized by the Hot List is great testament to our innovation, technology and performance for golfers of all skill levels.”

Highlights of the Hot List review include:
“This wedge performs well on any turf condition”
“I like the nice thud in the sand”
“...the minimalist look is a classic”
“The contact was crisp”
“The sole, with more bounce on the leading edge and less on the trailing edge, helps golfers handle all types of lies.”
“No other company goes as deep into the short-iron lofts.”

“Our inclusion in the 2013 Hot List confirms what we have set out to do - SCOR4161 is having the same impact on the short end of the iron set as hybrids have had on the long end,” added Koehler. “It's not often that a revolution comes along in this industry, but the reception by the Hot List raters indicates that SCOR4161 is just such a product.”

Since 2004, Golf Digest has conducted extensive testing of all new clubs that are coming to market each spring. The annual “Hot List” issue has become one of the biggest selling issues of the year. The list is typically dominated by major brands which enjoy powerful market awareness, and rarely do products from upstart companies present such a compelling package of innovation that historic demand has to be discounted in the scoring.
