Bridgestone's 'Dynamic Duo' Claims Top Two Spots in Early FedEx Cup Standings

(Covington, Ga.) — The PGA TOUR officially closed the books on the 2013 West Coast Swing with Bridgestone’s Matt Kuchar winning the 2013 WGC Accenture Match Play Championship this past week. With the victory, Kuchar ascended to #2 in the current FedEx Cup standings, giving Bridgestone Tour team members (Brandt Snedeker is #1) both of the top two spots

Having both played in five events this season, Kuchar and Snedeker have combined for greater than $4.8 million in earnings, and neither of Bridgestone’s “one-two punch” have missed a cut in 10 total events this year. In fact, Bridgestone’s entire tour team has amassed 14 made cuts out of 16 possible events started in the young season.

“We’ve been with Kuch and Sneds for a long time, since they were playing on the Nationwide Tour, in fact,” said Dan Murphy, Vice President of Marketing – Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “To see them having the success they are is incredible. It sort of feels like the Bridgestone brand has grown up with these two and I’m confident neither the brand nor the guys are done growing. We are excited to see what lies ahead.”

Both Snedeker and Kuchar rely on the TOUR B330 family of golf balls and J40 family of clubs. For more information on Bridgestone’s entire tour team visit www.bridgestonegolf.com.
